Hey folks,

My TZ is having an issue where it won't recognize a ball going through the piano hole. It will do a ball search but won't kick anything out. I'll then have to drop a spare ball into the piano hole to have it recognize the mode and therefore ejects both balls. Any ideas?

Quoted from mbaumle:

This is the correct answer, however, I can be lazy, and I almost always just slap the radcals over the existing art after a good deep clean.

Any examples of your work?

Quoted from billsfanmd:

Picked up a very nice TZ. Just adding a few mods. I usually like mirror blades. Curious what looks better on TZ. Mirror or art blades? Also what options are there for back board. I’ve seen spirals and they look very cool

I installed these last week. I liked how they are a continuation of the playfield art.

Quoted from discosucks:

I have these too but have yet to install. Was it difficult lining up the back panel with the two sides?

I did make a mistake on the back panel and will be receiving a replacement to hopefully get it right this time, LOL. I'll be rasing it about 1-1.5 inches, that should get it pretty darn close. In all honesty, it looks good as it is. Much better than having a blank back panel.

Quoted from FinnThelonious:

Those look fantastic, are those specific side blades still available? I'm torn between those and mirror blades.

They are still available on Ebay. Judge Dredd is the seller, I believe. Be warned though, these don't have the scratch resistant layer over them, thus they are not the easiest to install. If you remove the playfield, I'm sure that would help a lot.

Mikespinball where did you get the target decals? That's a nice touch as well. Better than the plain yellow targets.

What would you guys say is a fairly neutral color as base underneath radcals? Maybe grey? Rustoleum makes a nice grey oil based paint. I used it on the sides of a Robotron arcade.
