You can build a really nice version of the camera, slot machine and piano mods yourself. I think all of the parts for those cost me around $15, and they turned out just as good (if not better) than the expensive ones. There are guides online for building each one.

I used a PIG2 to trigger the flash to go off. Not sure how you did the same.

I was able to make this piano mod in a few hours. It was a fun build, and the instructions online are easy to follow.

Just take it apart, paint it, add in an LED and it looks great in the machine.
