Bally, 1993Okay I have a customer who has a TW that has some very garbled areas ONLY on the right half of the DMD, but I am not sure if its the DMD display or the DMD board. The current display is an aftermarket LED color dot-matrix...not sure of the brand. The pin is not currently in my possession, so I can't really test anything. Oh and the multiple ribbon connections were removed and reconnected just to rule that out.
Any ideas on how to determine whether its the DMD board or DMD display?

Yes checked the cables you mentioned to make sure there were not some very intermittant opens. Yes could try replacing the cables first.

Put the original display back in. If it works, it's the display. If it is still janked up, it's the board. 
Easier method would be to run a display test. Let the page test run and see if you get a page error. If you do get an error, younhave an issue on your DMD driver board.
