It's been a while since i've had to work on matrix issues. I did test continuity on the board from u20. Those all were good. I noticed some burnt looking resistors on the opto10 board. Can anyone point me in the right direction on how to test the opto board?

I will note that other optos that are not in column 8 are working fine, such at right ramp 73.

Post a picture of the Opto10 board and the MPU board please.

There is a non-opto switch on Column 8.

Does your lower lock switch work? If so, problem then on Opto board.

If not? Then problem likely NOT on Opto board. Unplug opto board, and test switch again. Does it work? Then problem on Opto board.

If not? Problem elsewhere.

Is rule out MPU first.
Remove switch matrix connectors.
Jumper between column 8 pin and any row pin. Got connection?

First off, thank you all for your help and responses!

Tried jumping J-206 9 to J-208 1-9 all came up on the switch edge test.
Switch 88 (lower lock/non-opto) does not work.
I disconnected the largest connecter from the opto board and switch 88 worked.
I guess I need a new opto board?

See pictures of where it looks toasted.

You’ve isolated the issue. Nice.
That board is entirely repairable if you’d like me to fix it.

Drop me a line if I can help.

About $50 to repair.
$219 new. Ouch.

I found one for $89 at Pinball life. I may still want to repair the original and sell one or the other.
