Guys, don't drink the full retail koolaid and assume stern raised prices. This LE title is couple hundred less than STLE was ( not STLE full retail either!!).

Uhm, ok? Didn't realize any distro's could get beat up for price posts. Apologies dudes and dudettes!
Excitement got the better of me.
Its stupid money either way. Face it or walk away. I have decided to hold off for resale. At this price its like buying cars. let someone else take the hit.
Quoted from playernumber4:No shaker though....so with that its pretty much a wash compared to STLE.
Borg usually spends the BOM on stuff other than the shaker though. In this case Greg Nicotero designed toys. I'm willing to believe it could be a slightly better value than STLE.
Quoted from Monster_Bash:Exact same MSRP as the last Stern LE.
How quickly we forget Mustang...
Muswhatnow?
Quoted from lllvjr:Metle was $6800 shipped for me
The last game that the flippers made money on. LE pricing changed with STLE, so we can't really go further back than that. I'm just glad TWDLE didn't see a jump.
STLE is a special case with the laser cut side rails and lights, shaker which I'm not sure is included with TWDLE, chase lights on the cab and backbox side lights. I would much rather TWD have even more little cosmetic extras and cost the same as STLE but all the bitching has worked with Stern, what a shame. I'm really looking forward to this pin, paid in full today for an LE. Greatness
Quoted from Trekkie1978:Why no premium?
So LEs sell out quicker. No Premium = "Get the LE before it's gone if you want the full featured version" psychology.
Quoted from Trekkie1978:Why no premium?
They want to sell out the 600 LEs fast, build some Pros, and then release the Premium after the release of the next game...that way the LE buyers are over it and onto Iron Maiden or Led Zep or whatever and won't be mad.
Then they will put out Tron VE with lit ramps.
Edit: Honestly I don't think we'll see a Premium for TWD...it wasn't announced at release like the others.
Quoted from underlord:STLE was $7800 shipped.
Yep you paid too much. My normal popular on pinside distributor tried to make a few extra bucks on me. He ended up losing not one but three le sales from me and friends. Hope it was worth trying to gouge me.
Quoted from Pimp77:It was?
You need to change distributors!
I paid $7800.00 shipped for STLE too.

Not offering as big a discount is not gouging.

I contacted all the major distributors and the lowest I saw was $7050, and that only lasted a few hours, so you did well.

Ya know, I heard the same stuff when STLE came out. How its not much more, and in fact it's less. Best game ever... A year later? But I tend to prefer the Pro models. I think they are a better value. I also tend to buy later, once I know the game a bit better. I will admit, this title started to get me excited.
So really, from those that have checked, what is a Pro shipped this time around? Have we crossed the 5k barrier or not? Or are distributors 1k less than MSRP?

Curious about that myself. LE's aren't quite $1k off MSRP, so I doubt that the pro would be.

I've heard quotes of less than $4,900 for a pro.
I doubt that, I would say 12-13% off retail
Quoted from sanctumwear:Pros shipped are 25%+ off MSRP.

Ok, so you are saying less than $4500 shipped. That is reasonable in my opinion, and if true, I may actually end up with one.
Quoted from rai:STLE has *all inserts color changing* which is a killer feature.
TWD LE :
Full-spectrum smooth RGB LED playfield arrow inserts and star rollovers.
Maybe it's not a big deal, but the lights work well on STLE, seems like TWD inserts more like ST pro or AcDc Premium with the arrows only RGB.
While STLE's inserts all change color, the GI is only white. TWDLE's got a few color changing inserts, but color zone GI for GI color change FX, like Metallica. I think this was a good decision - do you really need a full rainbow of colors for Walking Dead? You kinda just need red...and...red.
The extra features and bling usually suck me into buying an LE, but I'm having a hard time seeing a $2.8k difference on this one. I have an LE reserved but will probably get my money back tomorrow and wait for more information on the gameplay.
JJ
Trent
Michael Pupo
Gio or Hemi
No particular order, these guys are all talked about on here and will serve you well.
Quoted from pinballpete:$4,865 shipped for the pro
That's about a $300 (7%) increase over MET, when I got it 16 months ago.
