Today my son, Zach, who has been battling Leukemia, had his bone marrow checked for the last time.

While we waited for the results, our family visited our friends at Stern.

Both of my boys got to record zombie sounds (individually and together with Borg) that will end up in the game. I think Zach knocked it out of the park with his sounds.

But the best part was when Borg took them to what my boys call the "super secret offices" to be the first non-Stern employees to get to play TWD.

Obviously the reviews of a 6 and 8 year old aren't going to be too in-depth, but they said, "It was really, really, really fun to play. We liked it a lot."

Saw a stack of the play fields, and they look awesome! Also saw the first TWD Pro coming down the line.

My heartfelt thanks to John and Jody (and everyone at Stern) for making it happen!

And on our way home we got the news: Zach is cancer free!

Days don't get much better. Way to go Zach!

I love the zombie looks they're giving while making the sounds.
Congrats on the great news! Nobody should have to go through cancer but especially not kids.

Internet high five!! The guys at Stern have been rad with your kids, and I love them for it, but I'm much happier about your good news. Eat a bag of shark dicks cancer!

Yeah, it was pretty funny to watch...and hard not to laugh and ruin the recording.

They'd been practicing their zombie sounds for a while and can't make the sounds without the 'acting' (Zach would stick his tongue out...Coen would roll his eyes to the back of his head).

I love it! Not gonna replace Christ on a cracker, but funny!

Great job Zach on both fronts!!! I'm very happy for you!

Looking forward to hearing your zombie roars!!!

Come on guys, I'm your age and you don't invite me to the Stern office? First getting Dennis Nordman to visit and then this... geez!

Jk, you were lucky to check them out and record callouts on a presumably high-production game. What's the game in the back?

#33 9 years ago

man that is so cool, glad to know your kid will be fine.

I love that they got into character for their rolls.
