Okay, I just unboxed my game and set it. After playing 2 games I noticed a large gap at the end of the shooter lane. Doesn't look anything like my SM. Can anyone else out there with a Pro or access to one tell me it this is the way this should be? its so large you can see the hardware in the box below. See photo.

Thanks for the post/pic. I guess that is the norm than? mine does look a bit larger, but I guess it could be the angle. I am not sure why they would go to a design like this? Do you know if the playfields on all newer sterns cut like this?

I think it looks a bit different, if the ball places itself properly, I would not worry about it.

Here's my IM VE . My TWD Pro should be in the GRG soon I'll post a pict of the area on mine. Yr shooter lane looks cut out more.

Probably like that because of the ball kicker design.

#7 9 years ago

would the 2 pros have different ball kickers?

it does look bigger, from what i can see.

That's because it's not a straight down shot picture like BR's.

yeah I believe you are correct with the angle mustang I just held the camera over the lane and it does look very close to that of BR

All I know is I can not understand why they would cut the playfield like that other than it is a straight cut and no effort has to be put into making it any better! Also with the bright white lights of the TWD Pro, it lights up the cabinet underneath looking like you have a hole in the playfield. Yeah the ball launches fine, but I guess the more I play this game the more I believe stern just took a money grab on the theme. I'll stop there because I am off topic of what I originally posted this thread for. I do appreciate everyone's input though as at least I know I don't have a mis-cut playfield.

I might be misunderstanding, but what I see is the cut of the playfield to avoid the shooter rod as you put the playfield down. As for sizing of that, I'd look at the playfield hangers (behind the apron that hook over the receiver) to make sure they are not bent, which would misalign the playfield in the cab.
