I saw Black Rose's machine with new LED colors and it looked great. Changed out a lot of the whites for other colors, mostly reds.

What have you done to your TWD as far as LED's?

Install 2 Blue Frosteds where the Drop Targets are ,, Looks Cool .. Last nite i swapped out 2 Red Frosteds in the left B/b w/ 2 Purples ,, Not Bad .. Add some GI sockets to the back of the B/b ,, Put some Glow to the back of the ramps ,, I used 2 B/W 44 sockets and used Cointakers Blue Super Flex's

I'll get u an updated pict- after while .. Congrat's on yr Pro purchase bro ..

Nice! How do you get the fish tank effect?

Looks like I need a ton of reds and a few greens, blues, and purples.

I like the Green man ,, think i'll try green under the BC ramp ... LOOks Great !!

#9 4 years ago

with that red GI you cannot see the colors of the playfield anymore
why no warm white?

#10 4 years ago

I really like your experimentations with the different colours. But yeah the red is a little too much going on the pics and washing out the pf natural colours. Maybe keep a few reds and change out a few to warm white.

Love the look I will be doing something similar with mine. It looks so much better. I know the camera washers some of the playfield out it does the same when I take a picture of my Tron with blue GI.

Am I the only one that loves the original design intent with the white lighting starkly contrasting the red blood and dark imagery and theme of this pinball? Granted there are a couple (very few) areas that I will eventually be swapping out some white LEDs for colored LEDs, but generally speaking, I LOVE the polarity of the white lighting on the dark game. I've seen so many TWD Pros "pimped" out where they just look like a fricking Christmas tree with colors all over the place just to add color. Then again, I loved the original comic series Sin City and the movie adaptation and it's incredible use of black and white and just the hint of color in very, very specific instances...

Just 5 minutes ago I added Green Frosteds under the BG ramp , after seeing JCJP 's p/f above , i wanted to try it .. I like the look of it .. but ,, after i get some kind of Skull, TWD figure , a barbie doll head or Something under there w/ a spot light on it ,, Green It will Be ...

Funny, that's one of the areas that I really thought looked good with another color LED - the green really enhances the grass area bicycle girl is crawling in. Love the backlighting in the ramp areas too, would probably pick a different color than blue IMO, but still think a little color in there is cool. Mostly, I've seen a ton of christmas colors across the inserts on a lot of TWD that just looks crappy IMO.Looking forward to seeing more people's posts of custom colors to pick and choose from what I like best - lighting is definitely something that is a very personal customization.

I've left the inserts as is , except for the Red Arrow insert's , I took the Double Led Whites out and installed Cointaker's Red Premium 2's , i just color matched .. Big difference .. I'm alway's add-n Leds somewhere to Mix thing's up , i Love to Experiment ...

hmmm, good call on the double reds for the red arrow inserts. I think you sold me. I have about a days' worth of mods to install, may was well order some more LEDs from Cointaker to make the day complete!

Gee B_R that looks like a Woz playfield, personally it's a mish mash of color, white with the red inserts suits the theme perfect IMHO, I respect your choices & experimenting tho

I tried out tons of different colors and ended up putting the stock colors back in and just color matching the inserts. I also like the stark contrast.

So how did you exactly get the entire fish tank to light up green?

#25 4 years ago

Looking at the pf there is quite a lot of orange coming thru in the art work. Nobody has seemed to try out orange in gi so I put in some cointaker ultra brights along the tunnel area and behind ww. Nice effect and blends well with the pf. Also none of the pf plastics are ones in that area that matter so much about washing out.

I used ultra bright coo takers as orange always seems to omit a lower throw so I went full on the ub's

Thanks cointaker.
