Quoted from gweempose:We are supposed to be a community. When one of us gets screwed, all of us get screwed.
Not really. Plenty of people in this community consistently warn against pre-ordering, warn against buying a game you've never played, warn against assumptions that Premiums will/will not be. You chose to ignore this part of the community when making your purchase. You chose to believe what you wanted to believe. Stern certainly didn't trick you into anything.
Many here are not surprised at Stern. Many here loath their sales model. You knew this.
Buyer beware applies to everything at anytime in a market economy, and if you haven't learned this before now with PINBALLS than you just learned a valuable lesson. At least you get to play a killer Pinball machine while it sinks in.
Quoted from underlord:I feel that I was responsible for others making spur of the moment decisions based on info I believed was correct, and that is bothering me a lot right now.
I wouldn't take it so hard.
Quoted from iceman44:Glad you were able to figure that out after "sleeping on it"
Really? Thanks for enlightening us. That's pure genius, who would have known!
Yes, we do have a killer pinball machine to play and I was happy to get it right away. That said, not happening again and I'll lobby against Stern every chance i get on the next release. Vote with your wallet and your mouth.
Congrats on your new found temperence and wisdom. Pinside figures to be a lot less amusing now. But the over-under on how many machines get released before your next pre-order is still ZERO.
Quoted from gweempose:I agree that I'll be happier, but I'm not so sure about Stern.
I think you may be conflating your impact on Stern. If Stern really cared about the average Pinsider they'd conduct themselves a lot differently.
If Stern releases an enhanced version of Tron Pro with the lighted ramps the circle will be complete. Pinside will be a fun read that day. Lately not so much.
Quoted from iceman44:You might love lamp Nip but you would love TWD, no doubt.
And as far as Hilton goes, with those dumb ass comments, he never even passed geometry in school much less knows what it means.
This is a GREAT pin. Just put another two dozen games on it.
Not great until they recode the hillbilly comedy hour (at minimum).
I do prefer the new Premium backglass....but does anyone see the irony in see the words "walking dead" and not seeing any dead actually walking on the backglass? Or with legs for that matter?
Quoted from QuarterGrabber:Well at this point it's still way better then Avengers is or ever was. Hillbilly or no hillbilly
In your vapid dreams short bus.
