My head decals are peeling up in a couple of corners.

Stern sent replacement decals.

Is there something anyone can recommend to use other than super glue to get corners to stay down so I don't have to replace decals.

Stern said this is a known issue with game.

There was a new WWE LE at pintastic with both sides peeling. Horrible. Can you imagine any other product in the showroom peeling. Imaging one of your ragtops peeling and you send a new roof? If it is a known problem why keep making pins in this fashion?

I would think wallpaper seam sealer/glue would be a good choice.

I just cancelled My KISS LE yesterday and this was one of the reasons.

Code issues are 2nd issue.

Rather buy a used one that someone gets tired of and they can deal with the code and NIB issues...Even if price goes up!

Gonna go to Michael's and see what they've got.

My guess is that it isn't an issue with the decals, but that they might have left oils on the surface before applying the decal. I can't make a recommendation on keeping the peeled edges down, but if you do replace the decals, I suggest cleaning the surface well with isopropyl alchohol before applying the new ones.

In the wallcovering/finishes trade, vov (vinyl on vinyl) paste is a very strong binder. May not release down the road but should bite to the head. Same for contact adhesive but that is stuck for good once set. My guess is the low tac on the decals coupled with the smooth metal head surface isn't getting enough bite to hold. Maybe scuff the head lightly with 220, wipe clean then try to reattach. A wallcovering seam roller will help set the decal.

Not sure why the op down voted me for trying to help. Do you think seam sealer is a bad idea?

Maybe op was browsing with his smart phone. I've accidentally downvoted or upvoted things on my smart phone when trying to scroll on that small screen. Luckily I've caught it and removed the votes in time, LOL.

Do all of Stern's machines have metal heads?

#12 8 years ago

Stern has raised prices and lowered quality at the same time. What an odd thing.

Going forward yes. Star Trek being the first to receive the new design.

I'll take the "pixelated" screened cabs over stickers any day.

Sides still wood. Rest is metal.

Started to happen on my WD pro-I just used any old glue on the corners before they got worse all good so far. I also cancelled my KISS LE order way to much coin for a product where quality is going backwards.

Please tell me this works for Trons disks Centerflank. I just had to "re-glue" mine down for the third time.

I'm on my first disc pad still and have had zero lifting after 800-1000 plays or whatever.....
