Just ridiculous. Take out "TWD" and replace with ANY other of Stern's releases and the same thing could (and was) said within a week or even days of a new title announcement. Everyone (especially distributors) always pumping any given title.

I think people (including me) just get annoyed by the old "LE's are almost sold out!" claims that pop up on every new game. I think people waiting to see the actual gameplay are smart. Popularity of any given title can be meaningless. I look at the movie Avatar which was an incredible blockbuster smash hit ... but that LE gets very little appreciation (and there were only 250 made.)

I've never watched a single episode and know nothing about it. I don't know anyone who is a fan actually. Considering the show is on cable and not network television ... I don't think it's quite as big as you think.

That's exactly what Stern and distributors are constantly hoping people believe isn't it? 
But despite several very popular themes being released as LE's, Tron remains (at least for now) a rarity.

Yep, I agree. But TV shows in general ... have a very niche following. 16 million may have tuned in to watch the season 4 premiere of the show (TWD) .. but that doesn't translate into "everybody loves TWD".
Heck, 111 million tuned in to watch the Super Bowl last year .. but I don't think everyone loves football and I don't think a new football themed pin would sell all that great.
