Quoted from Pinballer22:

221 for me and had multiple numbers to choose from.. 150 something to 400 something

Quoted from Monarca1091:

I thought it was going to be a limited run of 250?

I could have sworn that the LE was 600 units - did they change it?

#52 9 years ago

I believe 600 is what's listed on the plates from the European ones we've seen on here.

Quoted from PinB:

I'm pretty sure it is 600 LE's being made.

Quoted from Monarca1091:

I heard it's 250 for US the others over sea.

Just picked them up!

Okay, put Charlestown, IN in your GPS and head this way, you lucky dog. Congratulations on the pick ups and a video review would be nice. Hope to get mine this weekend.

#14, nice, I'm jealous!

#61 9 years ago

#066 would like to get the 0 changed and 666 only because of the theme. I will say after many games last night this is the weirdest feeling I've had with a new pin. Seems to be a state of awe that there are zombies being hacked to pieces on the DMD and the evil heavy soundtrack is blowing my mind. I had one really good game that was just so special and showed to me the potential of this pin. At the same time a little bit of disappointment cause of the apron and the fact I was expecting more from the multi-coloured GI but hopefully that gets remedied with code. Still a lot to learn in terms of gameplay, pretty great machine.

#62 9 years ago

I'd be curious to compare the LE # with the actual game serial #, to see how in sequence they are.

Quoted from Hazoff:

I have a MET premium, that gives a good idea of where the light show will go. Right now you can tell it is very basic.

Does Metallica only have two GI colours too?

I am getting #222 end of december .
Have to pay $100 plus for that number .

Wow, if you were paying for a # why not #1 or # 2?

#67 9 years ago

And you are now twins with Pinballer22

I think #1 or #2 goes to the studio or director .

pissed find out all inserts are led boards....way too many white inserts!!
pissed as well to find out it is a translite not a real backglass....thought the le was suppose to be a backglass???

What!? I haven't checked yet but I thought it was an actual backglass too. I will check when I get home, that would piss me off too.

#71 9 years ago

According to the features matrix it is a "Mirrored Backglass" and the Pro is a translite. I am working now but will check mine when I get home. Mine was mirrored though and felt like a backglass.

Why do you think it's a translite? According to the feature matrix, the LE comes with an "Exclusive Limited Edition The Walking Dead mirrored backglass". If this is not the case, they are going to have some pretty pissed off customers.

#73 9 years ago

It appears to be a translate with mirroring

Yeah, that was part of the LE price tag

You have one in your possession and have verified it's a translite?

#76 9 years ago

^^^ r u f*#cking kidding me

#77 9 years ago

It is almost like a trans stuck to the glass...you can peal it up but you can tell there is something causing it to stick. Definitely not what I would consider a real backglas

#78 9 years ago

Jeez, is the LE now the new Premium?

First with the plastic apron & now the translite instead of a backglass.

What's next? "Deluxe LE playfield support pegs" instead of slide rails?

Wow! Stern has some nerve pulling this shit. This is the last NIB machine I ever order from them.

#80 9 years ago

Lame

#81 9 years ago

Uh, that's just a regular translite. Spray gluing it in place does not a mirrored backglass make. I mean that's just odd.

Frankly that doesn't look much different than my Met Prem translite, it had glue at the edges as well. I'm ok with code not being there yet, we knew that. I'm ok with the added cost, because I like the extras, but now one of those extras is now gone?

Edit:
That is a Pro Cab in the background. Does anyone who actually has the LE confirm it's not a mirrored backglass?

Ah, that was the coindoor up close. Damn I was hoping you'd just found that picture someone and that it wasn't your LE.

That is not the same process used for the ACDC BIB translite is it?

#84 9 years ago

The plastic apron is bull ship! Why do they keep arse fng us. ugh.

#85 9 years ago

So you can throw darts at ballons to get mirrored glass but stern cant afford it in a 8k machine ?

Quoted from DCfoodfreak:

Can they can......

#87 9 years ago

I thought a real backglass was screened onto the glass, not just a translite?

#88 9 years ago

You guys need to send emails and make phone calls, thats not cool.

#89 9 years ago

Oh I will be, there's no doubt abut that!

#90 9 years ago

The "mirrored backglass" is a $400 piece all by itself. At least according to Stern who charged $400 to replace one for a ACDC BIBLE owner.

#91 9 years ago
Quoted from Kcpinballfan:

I'm hopefully going to tour the factory mid month, if it is in fact not a mirrored backglass I will ask about that in person.

#92 9 years ago

I am picking up my le tomorrow and if this is true and it looks to be,I am very upset and I think we all should do something, they lied but it does say subject to change so I guess we are screwed, just not right

#93 9 years ago

Stern will just change the wording to Mirrored translite.

The GI is controlled differently (I think) on the non pro games so perhaps that is why they use the small boards.

No, it has 3: Blue Red White.

Quoted from Pinballer22:

This has been the case since the first LE/Premiums to my knowledge. Use color gels to change the insert colors. Works quite well actually, and is way cheaper than LEDs in my experience.

Where do you buy these insert gels??

Not sure what you mean

I guess this one just stands out since there are so many clear/white inserts

Was thinking about this earlier...would like to know as well
