The zombie head in the prison never made sense to me,took an idea from another pinside wood? And made a horde for inside the prison.

Used zombie figures from mcfarlane kits and used some leftover blocks from the mcfarlane prison kit to create their wall and mount. The blocks are ok but other materials might be better. I had them they are easy to use so I used them, the final result was meant to be like a prototype but I have not gotten back to tweak an improved version yet

I don't have the pics anymore for a step by step but I can give you an idea of what I did

Looks great! I always thought that head seemed strange.

    #3 75 days ago

Much better. How’re they holding up against direct ball hits?

    #4 75 days ago

    Nice

    #5 74 days ago

I have always thought of doing something exactly like this. Nice to see it in action!

for some reason can not get the photos in the order i want!!

take off the roof and back panel ( 4 small phillips head screws, need small short screwdriver, if you have tower mod will need to remove first)

unscrew the existing light posts and unscrew the zombie head , 2 screws

i made a u channel out of e some leftover mcfarlane blocks, superglued everything , i used my bench grinder to get the right width(1 3/4")and after painting and reinforced the outside surfaces with a layer of clear gorilla tape. it has held up very well.

the back wall of the u channel attaches with the 2 screws to the target shaft where the zombie head was. i used a piece of double sided foam tape to secure it while marking for the pilot holes in the back wall and a new piece for the final mount. i used 2 pieces of bnod thickness rubber underneath as spacers to provide clearance for the floor above the playfield when mounting for the pilot holes,( when i took the pics i notices it was tilted so i had to readjust it)

i used plumbers goop (my favorite) for mounting the zombies . their legs need to be cut off. if i make another one i would shorten their height by maybe 1/4 to 3/8 " as at my height 5 10" i can not see the top of the head of tallest back zombie from the playing position.

i added a single smd led on the top of the door frame it needed a little sanding of the led to fit between the 2 nuts there. if i make another i might try a plastic encapsulated 5 mm led for a bare bulb prison style feel.

i added another led attached to one of the existing flasher posts tied to a gi light as well so the room is lit for above and behind when the doors open .

Have fun if you make one of these. would love to see what improvements or variations everyone comes up with, let me know if you have any questions

    Added 72 days ago:

final dimensions were 1 5/8 wide, 1 3/8 deep and 2 3/4 high( If I did again would make top of tallest zombie at 2 1/2 for viewing angle concerns)

Which of the sets are these zombies and wall from? I’m not finding it.

The cheapest zombies would be from the set with Rick shooting the gun iirc byit comes with 4 zombies, the blocks were left over from building the tower in the prison set

Would be interesting to see a picture from the side with a measurement lint next to it.

The total mod cannt be deep, I guess its between 1 to 1.5 inch. Thinking about using Lego for this, the style attached. Than in color black or dark gray. This on a baseplate ofcourse from Lego. Why didnt I save the lego I had as a kid
