Tournament settings will disable it and award points instead. I would bet you are getting points.

Isn't there a way to hold a flipper button and hit start and go into tournament mode ? Maybe that is happening.

Is it just while you have a ball saved timer still running or all the time? I know the ones I’ve played won’t collect it while the ball saved timer is on.

I’d love to see manufacturers change animations/callouts when extra balls are turned off. An experienced league player recently yelled to me while playing that I had not turned off extra balls when in fact I had. Who can blame them: the extra ball insert was lit, they hit the shot, and the game called out “extra ball”?

But it's not Tournament mode, it is the # of Extra balls settings. Tournament modes makes sure any mystery or dynamic awards all awarded the same to the players.

If extra ball it is set to 0, you get 2.5 Million points instead of a ball.

There is also a setting for how frequently you get an extra ball, either fixed or dynamic.

in multiball it will not score it when an ball is being launched

Some WMS games did replace EB with BS when extra balls where off or out. Mainly in video modes but maybe in some other places as well.
