Ok, just had a 100 million game on 1.19.... first impressions:

-LOTS of new dots.

-New skill shot is cool. There is a zombie walking, you time the rollovers to shoot her. I do miss the "Skill Shot!" call out that we used to get, now you just blow her away with a gun.

-Prison mode dots are now animated, and as you shoot the yard zombies their corpses lie on the dmd.

-Arena mode is wicked. Lots of new dots of Merle(?) fighting.

-Color changing inserts are better used with modes, more light, more flashing.

-Haven't noticed any GI effects, still no "dark" on LE like I've seen on Pro.

-Multi Kill modes are more fleshed out. More dots, more call outs, more action!

-Crossbow is still hard to trigger, there is more targets on the dmd, so I'm wondering if basically the whole playfield can be shot at, not just the 5 shots.

-More call outs, but they're the style we've been hearing. I'm going to guess if you are unhappy with this, they aren't changing direction.

-Didn't see crossbow multiball or blood bath.

Overall a solid update, but more to come for certain.

I also have an 8gb stick. needs to be fat32 format.

Quoted from Hazoff:

But I was so looking forward to dynamic lighting?

Me too. Can't wait for the game to get juiced up. We know it's coming.

The new Woodbury music is AWESOME... love it. So soft and quiet, a break from the rest of the game while you decide which shot you are going to take.

More to come but so far compared to Metallica at this stage in that game's life it is VASTLY improved in terms of features and overall functionality.

I agree, there's more to come, but the game as it sits is fun. A friend of mine considered leaving his in the box for a while because of the frustration with MET.

It sure is!
Have you played the pro at Lake Alice? Not only does it drain SDTM from the magnet, but numerous SDTM drains from the pops.

Sounds like a pitch/level problem. Any game could have that issue.

Quoted from underlord:

Color changing led inserts in pf have increased functionality now. More interactive with modes. GI shuts off with specific modes I was told, for a few seconds.

Haven't seen my LE do anything yet. Had a 100 mill game on it, so I don't think this update has any of those effects unfortunately.

It seems with the current software the path to success is to work on those multiballs and then let everything else happen by chance since everything stacks on everything. It's pandemonium for certain.

You can. I would use warm white GI instead.

I'd love to see a pic of someone's warm GI if they do it.

My one criticism of the current code is I don't seem to be able to build up big scores without going for the multiballs. If I sharp shoot the playfield, it just seems to be a waste. Stack the MBs and let havoc reign and let the scores go nuts.

I'm sure this will be balanced more in a future update.
