I just checked my mylar and I have to agree yours was misplaced. My mylar is forward about 1/2" over the insert so the flap hits it. Still thinking about putting a Cliffy on more more protection. Production date is June 2016. Also has the factory foam fix.

Neil.
If new, fixes have been taking care of by Stern. Make sure the mylar is in the correct spot where the ramp drops down. Some have said it wasn't postioned correctly on new updated premiums. My build date is 8/2016.
