Well I’m finally in. Missed this machine when it sold here recently and wasn’t going to miss it second time around.
Loaded Premium with fish tank topper. Read all 157 pages to gain all the valuable advice here on pinside. Great stuff guys and it helped make sure I had set up right. Had crossbow motor issues when I bought it and previous owner got me a new one. Fitted yesterday and plays perfect. With tweaks suggested I have it playing smooth as silk. No drains from the pops or prison magnet. Hard game yes but super rewarding. Just posted a GC score after watching Mctuna tutorials.
Feeling pretty good .......and then Mrs JP comes along flailing balls everywhere........ but hang on that game seems to be going on and on. She’s managed to get bloodbath going stacked prison multiball and 2x playfield as well. F#*k me she’s just beat my score by over 100000000. there no justice in Pinball sometimes. anyway here’s some pix, sorry if I post too many but very excited to have this title. Great game and now that I’m understanding rules that bit more hopefully it won’t take too long to get back the crown. That last pix hurt lol

Ok so I’ve played most modes and getting to understand the rules. How do I get siege. I’ve played horde but don’t recall ever playing siege. Rather than re reading all post. Just a quick tutorial someone. Cheers guys.....and girls.

I feel your pain mate. Mine too had similar issues. I even went to the trouble of a new motor and it worked fine for a few days then faulted again. Long story short and I don’t really recommend this but in the heat of battle with that f##ken crossbow I grabbed it .....HARD and yanked it upwards. It works 90% of the time now. I had tried everything else. Pulled it apart twice tried some silicon lubricant. Loosened screw on top and support screws. Nothing worked so rage took over.
As I said not recommended but it did make mine better and I had checked everywhere for any sort of binding. I hate it when my mates tell me they have no issues. Mine was a bitch..... it at least now it’s subservient

Maybe gently try some upwards pressure. Can’t hurt?

I’ve just got the plain black crossbow. No laser. One thing to watch if you decide to get one. Make sure it doesn’t foul anywhere when fitting. I had to file a few spots on mine and enlarge the hole where the metal tab sticks out on the crossbow mech. It’s a pain to start having crossbow issues when you add a mod.......something I’m very used to lol.

And yes such a great adrenaline game. Reminds me of the fast and furious play of Ironman with the multiple choice of how to attack it like Game of Thrones. Finally cracked a billion last week......then next game I was struggling to get 300 000.
Up there with Sterns best. Oh and Hooked Bumper caps are awesome. Just did this and Deadpool LE

Mine had this crossbow in the coin box. Original owner obviously had issues. If I didn’t have this I would have bought the laser one. It might help aim. I miss 9 out of 10!!!

I’ve just ordered one from mikeincali he has a few to choose from. Been using his for years on various machines with no problem.

I wasn’t going to mod this like my Premium was but I really like some/ most of the mods on it.
ColourDMD and PDI glass was supposed to be it. But the lure from Mezelmods was too strong. $1800 later and they are still arriving. Got my work cut out for me today.

Well Walker
v1.41 - Starting Well Walker Multiball involves hitting the well walker toy quite a few times. Initially each shot to well walker will award 25k and one letter in WELL as shown on the DMD. The well inserts will then quickly strobe between W and L indicating that all letters in WELL have been completed. The next shot will change the behavior of the strobing letters from fast strobing inserts to slower strobing inserts and a new DMD animation will be shown indicating how many shots are needed before multiball begins. Each shot progresses towards multiball start but, also builds a value based on how many inserts are lit when the well walker is hit. If the well walker is hit when one of four inserts are lit 55k is added. If the well walker is hit when all four inserts are lit 75k is added. Once the well walker has been hit five times the total value of these initial hits is shown and multiball begins.

During phase one of Well Walker multiball, each letter is relit by hitting a certain number of switches. W: 25, E: 30, L: 35, L: 40 (although the previous jackpot also counts so it’s really 29, 34, 39). The well walker jackpot continues to build for every switch hit. Hitting the walker scores and adds to the bonus the total value collected in the starting phase based on the values of the WELL when hit, e.g. 50k no letters lit, 55k one letter lit up to 75k if all letters were lit. Normally somewhere around 300-350k. Once a letter is completed with the switch hits, the well walker jackpot is lit and hitting the walker collects the current jackpot value and then resets it to zero. Completing all WELL lights and jackpots then lights the Super Jackpot that re-collects all of the jackpots by hitting the walker again. Good time to use a big multiplier. Note: the premium/LE use of the spinner is valuable in this phase compared to the pro. Multi-kill is started once the jackpot is collected for the first L (thus the third jackpot, W-E-L).

Once the super jackpot is collected, phase two begins and continues until multiball ends. During phase two the left and right ramp are lit for 500k and either ramp will award 500k and add 50k to the next left or right ramp shot. The value of each ramp shot is also added to a jackpot that is collected by shooting the Well Walker. Once a jackpot is collected, the jackpot resets to zero until more ramps are hit. The jackpot and ramps can continue to be hit and will raise by 50K each hit until multi-ball ends. Raising jackpots and then collecting via walker with a multiplier can lead to huge jackpots.

So here’s some I did today.
Ulek red plastic protectors. I have fitted these before so anyone with crossbow make sure you file the plastic as shown or it fouls on the crossbow when it tries to come out. I learnt the hard way first time.

One of the all time greats. Although BKLE topper is bloody fantastic. I really liked my GOTLE and ARMRLE also.

Matt’s backalleycreations.com railway track is so well made and just completes that side of the playfield. If we don’t get wireforms then at least we can cover it up. Crossbow mod just a really nice touch.

Yep mine too. Getting used to the Brown. Took a while but I guess it does suit the crate theme on LE.
I really like the mirror backglass on LE. I had the governors alt translite on my Premium. With the topper the original had just way too many heads.

Short undercab lighting kit vid Rock914

Do you have the thin foam piece under your bicycle girl ramp to stop airballs. I just picked up an LE and ball was flying everywhere. Hardly ever made the ramp. I remembered having thin piece of foam under ramp on my premium and it had no issue. I stuck some electrical tape under ramp and it made an instant change in behaviour. No air balls and ramp made 98% of the time now smoothly. I have since fitted this light up protector and no issues.

You’ll love this game mate. I made the mistake of selling my premium and regretted it big time. Luckily another came up and I couldn’t get cash out quick enough. Bonus too my wife loves it and my daughter when she comes to visit loves it too. If she ever gets married says she wants it as a wedding present.

This game is notorious for drains from the pops. If it bugs you too much an easy fix was to put a flipper rubber over the metal guide just lower from the pops. Gives a bit more bounce and makes game more enjoyable. I did it on my Premium but the LE I have now didn’t seem as bad. I have game slightly off level which helps mate.

Glad to hear you put in shaker now you need ColourDMD to really make it pop. Tunnel uggh it’s my nemesis. My wife is always the tunnel champ cause I can’t hit it to save my life. Certainly not consistently. Enjoy. One of the best Stern games I’ve owned.

I hope so. I’ve just sold TWD and bought a Houdini. I’m regretting it again as I’ve done this before but offer was just too good. Houdini has under 100 plays total.

Yeah I know. I love it even though it kicks you in the nuts on a regular basis. Yes cash was very good and I will get another one day. I was wrapping it up today with buyer remorse. But then Houdini on its way and still big chunk of cash left in the safe so all good.

Yeah I had mine on cycling through all colours.

I’ve had Randy’s ColourDMD LCD in both of mine. It’s the way to go mate. Yes expensive but worth it and if you want to keep it when time to sell just reprogram to the next game you want to put it into. Not a bad idea to cover all bases and order wiring kits to suit other games, shipping a one of out is a killer.

It’s bloody fantastic.

I’ve had machines with out the foam. Didn’t particularly worry me. I did buy one from pinmonk when I bought his quiet fans. The foam is top quality. And those quiet fans make a huge difference if you have your machines on and not playing them. Doesn’t sound like a plane taking off now. Just peace and quiet when I’m enjoying them with a bourbon in hand.

ColourDMD LCD in all mine. You get the choice. You can scan, hi res, dots, dots xl. Choices
Stern works well.
Any powered sub you guys often use the Polk one.
Crate is great
I use Translucent Titans
PDI is best but yes lots of choice on glass now. Once you do one it becomes a must and has risen up on my mod priorities
Fish tank is best but whoa so expensive at the moment.

So many other mods.....go beserk mate.
