Has anyone else tried changing out some of the GI on the backboard? I've got a mix of mostly red with a single warm white, and I think it looks pretty cool - what do you think?
Out of the Box
All Red Backboard GI
Red with single warm white
The fact that there's no GI back there on the right side, due to the fishtank, makes what you do on the left more dominant, and somewhat overpowering if all color, in my opinion. I'm working up an idea to mod the fishtank to give it some light, and hopefully a flickering random effect when you hit the right ramp. I've got the design for the flicker done, but not yet finished on the switchover from solid to flickering when you hit the ramp. I'll post more as I make progress, and eventually either make a bunch to sell, or post instructions to make your own.

Not only do I like the red with a single warm, I think I'm going to steal that scheme for my own machine. It makes it look like it's dusk outside of the prison. Way cool!
Quoted from Jdfitzy-in-Aus:
I'm loving the sign, where did you get it?
Thanks! I got it right here:
Looks like the haters dogpiled on this one over the last week and pushed it all the way down to #76 on the top 100 (wasn't it #26 last week?). Laaaaaaaame.
I ordered the white wire, which is in backorder, so I have to wait a bit.
Quoted from iceman44:
This is just a pic of the play field without the back box and Stern topper and it doesn't simply do it justice.
Well placed whites in play field and back box, don't need it on EL wire. Played with lights OFF, looks great!

Looks awesome, man!
The Pro model is now #81 on the top 100. WTF?
Though I have to say (and I've mentioned this in at least one other thread) it's a completely different game when you swap out all the cool white LEDs, put in some color, and actually give this game some personality. The stock version looks pretty bland with white bulbs everywhere.
I feel bad for anyone who played the Pro at Arcade Expo this past weekend. The prison doors were completely non-functional (at least on Saturday night). I'm sure that hasn't helped the ratings.
I did the exact same thing about an hour ago, and it was frickin' awesome (though my first 2 balls were crap, so my score was only like 130M).
This is the most addictive game I've ever played. Seriously. I play it every single day when I get home from work, which has never happened with any of my other games... especially 3 months down the road.
As far as mods, I picked up one of these and was super impressed with the quality:
I also really dig the Pinball Refinery electric fence mod.
Quoted from billsfanmd:
Got some more track in so I am making a few more train track mods....not sure how many more I am making. I think they turned out destroyed, beat up and rusted out which is exactly what I wanted I have sold several sets and people seem very happy. 50 Plus 12 Shipping...
I bought one of these and it looks badass on my machine!
I bought my Pro before the Premium was announced, but have always preferred the look of the premium's art package.
Ever wondered what a Premium translite looks like in a Pro? Well, now you know (no snickering at my score, you bastards. I just changed to the NIN/Radiohead R-rated Negan code over the weekend):
I personally think it looks cooler, but I'm tempted to swap the t-molding to black (I have some on hand).
Thanks, guys! Think I should swap out the red t-molding for black? I dig the red when looking at it from the side, but I think black might look better from the front.
I've got a roll of black sitting here on the table. Should I do it?
Quoted from hanzie:
I finally decided to buy the stern official pinblades for my pro, 90 bucks and only one arrived I received the left one. these are supposed to come as a set right? Lol. Game room guys dropped the ball , so bummed
That sucks, man. Yeah, there should be two of 'em.
Quoted from Groo:
Always been a little nervous doing the sound file thing. Does it change anything else like the music/code or just change the callouts? If any issues do you just revert back to Stern's latest code?
There are versions that keep the original music, and there are others that change that as well. If you have issues, reverting back to Stern's latest code is a piece of cake. You won't want to revert back, though.
Quoted from delt31:
For the folks with the Track mod (goes over ramp on the right) - how does it stay on? I don't see any bracket on mine? Do people use double sided tape?
Mine fits really tight (but I also have the EL fence from Pinball Refinery). I didn't have to use tape or anything, and it hasn't budged since day one.
Quoted from cleland:
So close to being finished and should be done late tonight. Will load it on my premium in the morning and have a few plays and then post the code for all. I will also send to RandomKg for his music additions for those that like the NIN/Radiohead mix. Thanks to all for your patience and support, I love that I can contribute to this awesome game!
I met Tom Payne (Jesus) and Denise Crosby (Mary, leader of Terminus) at Monsterpalooza yesterday. They signed my translite, which joins my bloody Lucille that hangs above my game that I got signed by Steven Yeun (Glenn) in September.
They were both very nice!
Michael Rooker (Merle) was at Phoenix Comic Fest today. The dude’s a hoot. He signed my translite, and mentioned that he has one in his house. He seemed like a really nice, funny guy.
So far, I’ve gotten it signed by him, Tom Payne (Jesus) and Denise Crosby (Mary). Hopefully, I’ll add more over the years. I’ve also got a bloodied up Lucile bat hanging over the game that’s signed by Steven Yeun (Glenn).
