Just playing devil's advocate, how much did David O'Keefe pay in royalties to the original actors from the movie, or even the studio, Orion Pictures, that made the movie? Even if he got some consent, I doubt he got every actor on the painting to sign off.

I see the word "tribute" in the description of many of his paintings... I don't know if that helps with using people's images or not. It didn't help Bally with the Marilyn Monroe likeness on Taxi.

I like the "don't open dead inside" trans. Can you make one that's a mirrored translight? would go nice with my cover.

As a fellow (albeit vastly inferior) graphic designer, I'm with you Aurich. These are cash-ins pure and simple. Sure, people buy them and are happy with them, but the artistry is straight-up dishonourable.

Your alt translite work is the only kind that I think should be made: original artwork that feels like it belongs on the game and honours the spirit of the original game designers. These alt translites are, for the most part, the polar opposite.

Its funny how some people think just by putting a hot naked chick on the translite makes it cool, with no regard to style or context.
The juggling dead and that WPT are quite lame...
The baywatch and playboy at least look like they belong.

I'm sorry, but the art on these alternative translites infringe on the copyrights of the original artists (unlicensed). We have rules about this. Posting this up for sale (i.e. profiting of other people's IP) is first of all not cool but it could also get you in serious trouble. Plus it could cause headaches for Pinside. We simply don't want this.

It also not cool calling the people reminding other of the site rules "idiots" etc. Please respect our rules but also the members who try to remind you about them.
