Has anyone made a tutorial or even a /guide/ for recreating a light panel? I may need to do so for an early Bally SS and I'm looking for tips/materials, etc.

Fwiw, I would have an original to use as a template, so I know that'll help.

Try PM'ing pinsider Redketchup He had a thread titled my Stargazer crazy project, and it looks like he made a custom insert panel there.

Take a large piece of paper.
tape it to the original light board.
Pencil or crayon rub the entire board.
    Now you have a template.
Place template on a sheet of plywood of the same thickness.
Marker the center of all the lamp holes and trace the score display holes.
    Cut and Drill.

That seems like the easy thing to do, but these Bally's have the wood light blockers on the face, so you can't lay paper all the way across it. That's one piece that's missing in PMD's tutorial as well. How much do I /have/ to dismantle the original when copying, etc?

How about using a tracer projector?

That's a clever option, if I could get my hands on one.
