Whenever I examine old pinballs it looks like the finish has chipped off in places so I simply opt for a new set. By the time you pay for electricity, media, and additive in a tumbler I don't think it's normally worth tumbling them. For all other metal parts, it is. I've had parts come out of a tumbler or hand polishing that look better than replacements I've ordered.
