    What is or what type is this? I ordered an Tantalum style cap and I got this.

    Electrolitic and the negative pole is on the right side in your picture.

    Won't work in your application. Tantalum isn't positive or negative.

    TTAM's are "General Purpose" Aluminum Electrolytics, not tantalums. However, will probably work in most applications

    LTG Unless a tantalum is specifically "non polar" they definitely have DC polarity. When installed "backward" they will "explode" just like an electrolytic, although less messy.

    I really don't recommending mixing capacitor types. They have different properties and purposes.

    Thank you for your inputs. I thought that it was the incorrect caps. I'll reorder from a difference place this time.
