This may be a bug or feature but currently my right TSPP flippers have 2 "steps". Meaning if I slightly, and I mean very slightly push the flipper button in, the bottom main flipper will flip up and if I push in further then the right orbit flipper and the upper playfield flipper will flip up.
Inside the cabinet you can see the mechanics of this happening. There's the flipper button's metal strip that will first come into contact with the bottom flipper circuit metal strip. Then those two strips will push further into the top flippers.
I don't use this "feature" while playing but I thought that if I could master it then it would be beneficial. I can see how having a control board to disable the upper playfield might be nice but I would be worried about the case when 2+ balls get up there and one is lost, hoping that the flippers wouldn't disable themselves. I've once had 3 balls get into the VUK to the upper playfield and when the first was ejected, it came out of the left ramp lane so I can see that potentially confusing the controller board.
