My Simpsons Pinball Party decided that solenoids 1-6 should stop working. One wire had come loose at a coil lug, I resoldered it. That didn't fix it. I have continuity between all of the 1-6 solenoids. I replaced the power driver board with a spare and that fixed it... for a week. Any ideas on this one? Whitestar boards are not my specialty.

Quoted from Lermods:

Are all the fuse leds lit on the board when you close the coindoor?

I'll take a look. I did test the fuses.

Yes. It's currently got a Rottendog in it. I checked all the test points and the only thing weird is that the 18v was reading about 16.7 and fluctuating a bit.

If you swapped boards and the same issue occurred, the problem most likely lies with the wiring. You said you checked continuity to the solenoids, but how did you do this? Did you do it from the board connectors to each solenoid? Did you test both sides of each solenoid? Did you check the diodes on the coils (if there are any?)
You could also try to ground each solenoid off the transistors to see if they fire.

I'm still tracking this one down, I thought it was just solenoids 1-6 but actually the pop bumpers don't work either, so the common element there I think is J10-4/5, not the 50v, because the flippers work? I was going to pull J10 and see if it blew the fuse, since it keeps blowing fuse F21 when I power up, but I ran out of fuses tonight.

Blown transistor Q5 was the culprit.
