This has been my experience. Reseat those connectors on the top left of lower board and bottom left of upper board (can't remember plug numbers). If that fixes the problem, look at replacing the header pins and plugs down the track.

I prefer to be more methodical - just reseat one or two connectors at a time, this way you can isolate the problem quicker and fix it for good. Anyway, enjoy playing at least!
