Mine didn't have a rubber on the nut when I got it and I wanted to add more figures. Bart stops the ball for me now. I'll have to look at the spring...

I love mine but was surprised to find most of my friends hated it and thought it was too hard!?!? I set it to easy mode, increased ball save time and decreased the slope a little and now they're coming around!!

The color pin2dmd is AMAZING in this one, btw... so worth it.

#2585 6 years ago

I suck at the reverse flippers. My trick is to just hit both the whole time (like those flipper monkey friends that suck at pinball). Call it a cop out... doh!

I have a couch issue. I installed the weld fix but I still have a switch problem. The first ball on the couch will often count as 2 balls. Are my switches sitting weird??

Quoted from sohchx:

Is my topper overkill? Or nah? Lol The previous owner made that and it lights up in the bottom.

I like it. It would be cool if they were tiered like on choir risers. I've eBayed and Googled like a maniac for topper ideas... I wish there were larger plastic figures.
Would love to see some diy toppers from da club...

#2717 6 years ago

Nobody has a topper that they want to share??

I wrapped a lighting gel around the tube which helped a lot. Since then I added a strip of masking tape across the length of it. Replacing with leds eventually.

Still really wanna see some toppers...

I'd like one! Still trying to figure out a cool topper. Haven't seen any custom toppers "sigh."
Thinking about getting one of these...

It's been said before and I thought it sounded silly... but when the flippers reverse, cross your arms. It's crazy how intuitive the switched hands work!

If you haven't done the $10 speaker buzz fix you are missing out. Took 10 min, would have been less had i been more confident). AMAZING! And, I love that I can now adjust volume between backbox and cabinet independently.

Quoted from MG7322:

Question: When we hit the garage door sometimes it does not go up, hit it again then it opens. Is this the rules of the game or wear/fade on the door components? I also noticed it will only sometime go up 3/4 of the way.
Tried searching for this topic already so apologies if this is an old question.

For me, it just needed cleaning and a little straightening

Mine gets louder too. I assumed it was like an attract mode thing cause you're doing well...

I like the lamp!

Here's a mock up for my topper, backbox and speaker panel idea. Been struggling for a year to figure out a topper and then the tv idea hit me. I think it is gonna look cool! Planning vinyl sticker for speaker panel and backbox and a window cling for translite. Not sure for antenna but that seems pretty easy...
Thoughts? Opinions?

#3404 6 years ago

Ha, me neither... I just googled that pic for mockup, not my machine.

#3411 6 years ago

I went to Signs Now to get an estimate today. The cling for the translite was $27 but the speaker panel and backbox sections were $60! I can get that down a little by making it a little smaller, I had lots of bleed. Priced by square foot. So I went to Kinkos thinking that would be cheaper but it was $150. Even though a previous owner did a crappy black spray paint touch up, I still hate to paint it, seems too permanent.
Anyone have a cheaper or better idea?

#3412 6 years ago

I reworked the artwork and shaved a square foot off of each lowering the print cost to $65.25.
Made a topper yesterday in about 30 min and around $10. Would like to find something a little better for the "metal" part of it but it's not bad (IMHO).

Did a little test printing on paper at work today, just partial speaker panel but I'm digging it and will be ordering tomorrow!
Can't decide if purple should wrap around over t molding or not. I'll probably wrap it and trim it off if I don't like it.

Simpson's tv is done! Application was easy took less than an hour. I'm happy

#3423 6 years ago

Thanks! No, just cling on the glass. The rest is adhered, the stuff they wrap cars with. Really easy to work with, i could pull it off and on easily. I didn't do the sides, trimmed to the outside of the t molding.

#3428 6 years ago

I had one, just broke it working on leds!

Thanks! I can't decide if I want to sell them or just share the plans. Looks like 3 of you are interested. Who else would want to buy one? Price would be $100 or less... help me decide!

I had same issue, cleaning and straightening fixed it for me a year ago or so, works fine ever since

+1 on sound mod, cheap, easy to install and HUGE improvement. Also, external powered sub, cheap, easy and HUGE improvement (and you can connect 2 pins to 1 sub)

#3723 5 years ago

Just speaker wire. Couldn't believe it myself and called a local tech first. Powered subs can accept speaker inputs and the left and right sides
