Quoted from moonduckie78:Look for a worn out Krusty hole.
That just sounds so wrong!
Quoted from Electronmagic:Does anyone know what Stern was planning with the hole in the lockdown bar that's blocked off?
It's there if you wanted to add the optional tournament kit.
Quoted from dos_reboot:Welp, after 12 years of ownership I finally reached Super Duper Mega Extreme Wizard.
Nice job! If there was a way to set the game for 731 balls, I *MAY* have a chance of seeing it.
Quoted from Dynasty5211:Still looking for new ways to increase score as well
Here's a link to the rules.
Quoted from xtravgiza:LCD or led?
Most seem to prefer the LCD but I have the LED version on my TSPP and love it.
Quoted from cjchand:Question for the thread: Do you get a lot of right-sling-to-left-outlane drains?
This rarely happens on mine.
Quoted from Scandell:I very much agree and will get to the music after altering the MANY callouts in this came. There will be very many variations of each callout as well. Which will be very fun and add to the experience.
I have already implemented a new theme song cut.
Phase 1. Callouts and Theme Song
Phase 2. Music
Phase 3. Sound Effects.
I CANT wait to see this in action!
Quoted from Scandell:Regarding my pinsound package which is 90% done!! Thread starting soon!
Bring it on! I cant wait for this.
Quoted from ataritoday:I used sunlight for the Simpson’s Gen Illum and I liked it. Never bothered with the inserts, if I went there then I would want that board that makes them fade on and off.... it looks great though
I did the exact same. I really like the sunlight in the game.
Quoted from Baptiste:Hello everyone !!
I present you here my Pinsound Mix for the Simpsons Pinball Party TSPP Stern that I will post at the end of December 2020.
This is *SO* awesome. Your hard work shows. I will be getting a pinsound board for sure now! Can't wait to load this into my TSPP!
Quoted from amkirk:I joined the club this week! I'm curious, is this a normal startup sequence for this game?
Yes. This is normal
Quoted from bicyclenut:My wife and daughter had this made for me of our family.
Quoted from Lermods:Cool. My wife had a similar one done of us in our game room, including our dog.
These are both AWESOME!
Quoted from monkfe:I reached out to Baptiste (I think that's the right spelling), he said he got busy with work and should be sometime this month...fingers crossed...
I *SO* can't wait for this! His AMAZING work is what got me to buy and install the PinSound board. To pass the time I've been watching the YouTube video.
Quoted from allsportdvd:I’m about to put the alternate artwork on the cabinet which is heavy in pink donuts.
I haven't seen this. Any chance you have pictures?
Thanks!
Quoted from Baptiste:Hi!
I couldn’t release the mix as planned at the end of December for various personal setbacks.
this time it's coming soon, in February.
I am thinking of announcing the date this WE.thank you for your patience
Awesome!
I am *SO* looking forward to this!
Quoted from mikespins:I ended up ordering the LED today, I'll post up a video when it's installed.
I have the LED in mine and love it.
Quoted from Gotfrogs:Let us know if you find one. I still want one!
I also would love to have one.
Quoted from PinPeet:Thank you Babtiste for the awesome!!! Pinsound mix!!
I am STILL hearing new stuff. Baptiste did a remarkable job on the mix. MUST HAVE!
Quoted from Bacondaddy:We've encountered one problem, and I figured I'd look for suggestions. There's a ColorDMD
Even know this came in your game and you not the original purchaser I would contact ColorDMD for help. They are GREAT with supporting the product.
Quoted from Bacondaddy:I am having a problem with the ColorDMD cutting out after ~30 minutes to
What did ColorDMD say after you contacted them?
Quoted from Bacondaddy:Randy from ColorDMD has been quite helpful.
That is great. ColorDMD rocks! Best mod ever.
Quoted from Gube637:Hello fellow Pinsiders,
I recently purchased a TSPP and should be receiving it soon. I was wondering if anyone knows who I can contact about purchasing a new sound ROM for my game that contains new callouts from the show ? I've seen some Utube videos with the new sound ROM and would love it on my new game. Thanks for your assistance as always !
The custom sound mixes require adding a PinSound board.
Quoted from Gube637:Thank you !
You bet! I have it installed and run Baptiste's soundmix. It's AMAZING. Highly recommend.
Quoted from Gube637:I'm sorry, one more question. Did you get the Pinsound NEO or Plus ? Also, how can I contact Baptiste to place an order ? Thanks again !
I have the Neo. Works great. The soundmix is available free on the PinSound site. You can also make your own mix and customize current mixes using the PinSound Studio software. It's a remarkable add in. I have had Baptiste's mix installed for months and I'm STILL hearing new stuff. He worked over a year on it and it shows. Very grateful for his hard work.
Quoted from Gube637:Wow, you have me sold. Thanks !
Glad I could help. You will love it.
Quoted from brainmegaphone:My personal opinion is the only modifications which add value in this game are Cliffys, LEDs with an LED OCD Board (otherwise the LEDs don't work correctly and the fading effects are missing) and a color DMD
I would add a PinSound board to that list.
Quoted from Sandman454:Nice. Might have to get myself a pinsound. Definitely good for a change up. How many different sets can you have saved on the pinsound and how easy to switch between them.
You can have as many as will fit on the USB drive you use. Takes 1 second to change between mixes using volume buttons. At least that's what ive read. Never had the need as Baptiste mix is PURE GOLD. He spent over a year on it and it shows. I'm *STILL* hearing new stuff when I play.
Quoted from Paseb:it seems like sunlight 2smd frosted a popular choice for tspp?
This is what I used for my GI and they look great.
Quoted from drummermike:I make that shot fairly easy. May need to clean coil sleeve? Something binding?
I agree. Sounds like the coil sleeve or coil stop needs to be replaced. I'd do both and see how that works.
Quoted from Ashram56:Anyone would have some comment?
I would start with a new set of Roms
Quoted from delt31:but concerned about it blocking the sightline of that ramp/right side.
I think it blocks way too much.
Quoted from schwarz:Pinsound with the mix by Baptiste is the only must have mod I can’t live without.
I second this! His soundmix is AMAZING!!!!!!
Quoted from JDub03:But the sound goes out intermittently. Game still plays, and sound comes back on a reboot. Any ideas on where to start?
This is pretty common on the Whitestar boards. There are a few that fix them. Or, you can add in a pinsound board.
Quoted from allsportdvd:My TSPP restoration is coming along, backbox is now done, onto the cabinet!
Looks great! What decals are you using?
Quoted from allsportdvd:Using the alternative pink donut decals from Retro Refurbs as I plan a pink donut theme throughout
Make sure you post pics when it's done
Quoted from Alfonzo:Good morning …my simpson
Looks awesome! Where did you get the armor?
Quoted from Spacemanratso09:I’m seeing the mix by baptiste and it looks sick
I run the Baptiste mix and can't imagine the game without it. He did an amazing job.
Quoted from PinPickle:I’m a couple years removed from doing this but I believe you need to have updated sound roms. I could be wrong but I had V4 and needed V5 for it to work. Again, “I think” that was my issue
If you have v5 sound Rom’s I would just go back and redo all your connections.
This is most likely the issue
Quoted from allsportdvd:Where did the red cooling towers come from?
The original Simpsons pin
The_Simpsons_Arcade_Machine_(1990) (resized).jpgQuoted from Pizzaman13:I’m also considering getting a color display for TSPP. Any experience with that? LCD vs LED…ease of installation, etc.
The LCD seems popular cause lots like the cartoon look it can do. I personally think it looks aweful and went with a LED and love it.
Quoted from KrazyIvan14:Update, I reseated the ribbon cables and now everything boots. I now have a problem where the coils 1-6+ no longer fire….never should have touched the boards. Any thoughts here?
Check the fueses
