Does the software configuration need to be done or will the OCD board work fine out of the box?

I wish Stern would do a vault edition of this game. I would replace my routed game for that. It's the deepest game Stern makes.
Does anyone have some tips to get the scores higher? This is the hardest game to get points on for me.
Quoted from rottenrobert1313:Homer blob here too. Oh well. Still one of the best games stern has ever made.
Wish they would do a vault edition..
Quoted from TimeBandit:More yellow!!
Nice, Stern please do this for the upcoming Vault edition
Quoted from jim5six:Finished adding toys to my game this weekend.
I love the rule set cards. Where can I find those?
Quoted from Cserold:I installed the Flipper Fidelity interactive back box lighting today and love it. However, the glare is pretty bad off the glass towards the top of the play field.
Have you tried the invisiglass from JJP or PDI glass? I was thinking of trying that as I have the same issue.
Quoted from Agent_Hero:Yeah, there's some glare in that picture and I think TSPP is the best game to put ColorDMD on, but I have to get better at this game before I put any more money in it
You won't regret it. This is by far my favorite title from Stern. You never get tired of playing it. If they could ever reproduce it again with the new technology they did on Batman I would buy it so fast. Since the code is done on that one I wonder how quick they could port it to spike? That would be something, a brand new pin which is code complete on delivery.
New issue just started on mine. What would cause the right side upper 2 flippers (crusty and upper mini playfield) to either not fire or delay firing? The bottom flipper is working fine.
Quoted from D-Gottlieb:This is most likely caused by worn switches.
Ok thanks, can someone post a link to the replacements? I want to be sure to order the correct ones.
Quoted from Vader77:Simpson's tv is done! Application was easy took less than an hour. I'm happy
Now you need a color dmd bad. It's the best mod for TSPP.
Thanks for the links, when I get it do I just plug it in machine off and remove the batteries. Or do I have to leave both the chip and batteries in one time before removing the batteries so I don't lose my high scores?
My dealer spoke to Gary a year or two back and he said absolutely not. I would love it to get done with the LCD and graphics but sounds like it’s not possible.
How can I fix my single itchy drop target not raising? If I manually do it the target raises fine, watch this:

I tried adjusting the two screws on the plate but no luck.
Added over 4 years ago:Found help
Just got mine back from being restored. I also added a pinsound board. The sounds are amazing. Besides the color dmd, the pinsound board is a must have. Thanks to James R for his incredible work. All bulbs were swapped. I already had the pin stadiums but these new bulbs really pop.

Retro Refurbs.
I just got these for side art:

Quoted from Norcalpin:Does anyone have pics of their TSPP powder coated other than yellow or candy apple green? Has anyone tried purple? Maybe green and yellow are the best colors.
Quoted from mbl1116:This is what I was looking for thanks. While I’m here, any other “must have” mods for TSPP?
Pinsound white star board
Quoted from Pin_Fandango:Just joined this club yesterday but had been lurking around in here before.
Have not set up the game yet.
Couple of questions?
Is there any mandatory upgrades that would improve the game?
Anybody here selling armor for the cabinet? The one I got has flipper button wear on one side.
If no armor is sold, can anybody print a color decal the size of a flipper protector with the actual cabinet art so I can slap that on top.
If someone could print a mylar type material with a colour decal that would be awesome.
I have a pin2dmd screen laying around and was wondering if anybody tried the colour files? Wondering how glitxhy they are, often times these colourizations are not done right or completed so that is why I ask.
That is it for now thanks
Pinsound board
Quoted from Pin_Fandango:Thanks for this.
Funny you say this, i find the original sound very fitting and great overall, is like nostalgia 101. Just need to be clearer that is all.
Are the callouts maintain with pinsound? I find all the callout to be absolutely perfect and would hate to pay $300 to lose this.
Quoted from troon47:I bought them for my Godzilla, but the factory ones on my TSPP are far better...gold standard for flippers IMO.
What about the upper play field? Hard to hit the couch. Anyone try replacing those and is it hard to do?
