I am running 5.0, isnt SpringField Mystery where the flippers reverse?
If so, mine does not...any ideas?

#236 10 years ago
Quoted from WJxxxx:

There is an option in the menu to enable reverse flippers - you should have it set to yes.

Feature Adjustment No.19

That should cure it.

Thank you...why am I so dumb sometimes????/

I modified a BBH Saucer Mod and changed out for my Aliens.
I used a heat bent clear sling plastic and existing flasher screw/assembly.
A Comet Matrix 8 SMD, Flashes Red, inside the Beam. Im pleased.
Goes well with Comet Sunlight! So Glad I made those!

Quoted from Paseb:

anyone using these target cushions? how do you like them? is it affecting a lot the game play?
ebay.com link: itm

I've used the vendor, and an earlier design.
Put them on when the game was a year old. No issues other than learning to nick the vinyl peel off layer with a sharp exacto.

I have purchased around 20 different sets over the years.

#5976 2 years ago

Did it affect game play?

Well yes, of course the ball bounces differently off a cushioned target, then plastic, and it sticks out a little so, it affects it in those ways.
I guess it depends whether you are a player that is very focused for tournaments, points, argues over angles...dont use target decals.
They serve to make the game look better, and nothing more, other than wear protection, but in home use.....

Can you peel off the backing with your fingers?

Yes, sometimes. I cant speak for the material in this specific batch, or even the heat in an airplane when mailed.
Nor can I account for the length of your finger nails, or manual dexterity.
Sometimes, you need to nick, with a sharp blade. Sometimes when you dont, you peel the print layer from the adhesive.

Wait a darn minute here... If you were holding both flipper buttons, what did you push the start button with?

Anyone installed a Trough Lighting Kit on his tspp?
I have sunlight led in my game so im assuming it would be best to get the same color for the trough?
Do you get a 4in or 8in matrix?
Frosted or clear?
Alligator clip is the best option?
Thx

Use a Frosted GI Bulb with a Tap, if you can, over clips.
You might set any additional lighting on the apron, trough, or elsewhere to your taste.
Frosted everything, for diffusion.
Swinks has a 3D printed trough Holder, others have this premade, in their own way.

Quoted from zucot:

I’m looking for either a set of ramp flaps for the treehouse and moes ramps or maybe even full replacements.
Are these unobtanium now?

Marcos has the black. Ive refinished a bunch now, and coated with museum wax.
Not hard to do.

Quoted from drummermike:

I have the sunlights under the ramps and they look OK to me.

It depends on your height, angle of stance and play, and the ramp bulb, can be right in ones eye.

It isnt the Kelvin, etc.

So the Incandescent is easier on the eyes, and in my taste, I put a colored Incandescent.

The only one in the game.

Quoted from ataritoday:

Hi I removed the ramp to change them. Having said that… I do not like them led’d. I would leave them incandescent. I have comet sunlight in the rest of my GI. But under that ramp. I liked the original bulbs better. The led’s are just too visible as bulbs as opposed to just brightening it if that makes sense.

110% agree.
I did the same, and tried every bulb I could think of from stock.

Quoted from Pin_Fandango:

Just joined this club yesterday but had been lurking around in here before.
Have not set up the game yet.
Couple of questions?
Is there any mandatory upgrades that would improve the game?
Anybody here selling armor for the cabinet? The one I got has flipper button wear on one side.
If no armor is sold, can anybody print a color decal the size of a flipper protector with the actual cabinet art so I can slap that on top.
If someone could print a mylar type material with a colour decal that would be awesome.
I have a pin2dmd screen laying around and was wondering if anybody tried the colour files? Wondering how glitxhy they are, often times these colourizations are not done right or completed so that is why I ask.
That is it for now thanks

I think matching art would be a cool replacement.
Maybe someone with a wand scanner, or just a good photo, and photoshop would be a solution.

Other than a color DMD, the game sits close to perfect, IMO, with not much to make it a better playing game.
