Quoted from ASOA:

I put in the Coin Taker Premium Non ghosting LED Kit first.

I was just about to pull the trigger on the Comet Pinball LED kit for my TSPP. Just wondering why you chose the Coin Taker kit. I was looking at both kits and not seeing the difference, other than price.

Anyone have any tips/recommendations? Thx.

Quoted from Bendit:

Pinsound is way more than just "original" or "improved" sound files...

Sorry for the naive question, but could you clarify what you mean in the quote above?

I’m pretty new to some of these mods available to these machines. I had not heard of this Pinsound mod until I saw it mentioned on this thread. So I went to their website and looked it up. $369 for the board, throw in speakers and I am looking at around 500 bucks.

My question is, what am I getting for a few hundred bucks (besides “improved sound quality”)? Because, for that type of $, I would be looking for something pretty magical. For example, what improvements and general “cool stuff” could I do with my TSPP?

This is my first time trying to remove the upper playfield. This pin connector on the TV seems pretty difficult to dislodge. I don't want to break it or damage it. Are there clips underneath the connector? Do I need a special tool to help lift clips etc.?

Tips greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys. I got it off but DAMN it was on there tight! Must never have been removed before.

Now to start clipping zip ties on the bottom......

My latest maintenance question of the day.... :/

This is the gate/microswitch assembly on the left ramp, right next to the Comic Book guy. Trying to remove the ramp, but can't figure out a way to disconnect this switch. Hole drilled in ramp is too small to get switch through.

What am I missing?

Sorry to be a PITA, but I bought a Coin Taker LED kit, and getting to some of the bulbs is an even bigger PITA. Decided to clean the whole playfield since I am digging around in here. An unfortunate mix of type-A and OCD left me no choice.

Thanks again guys. I looked under the playfield and I could have swore the wires went into a big bundle and not a small connector. The second inspection I found the small connector.

I did see that the bulbs could be replaced from underneath, but since I was cleaning the whole field it made it a little easier. I just hope I don’t have a bunch of leftover mystery screws, nuts, and bolts when I’m done putting this back together.

Quoted from Mikedenton49:

Just wanted to show off my new pinstadiums. Pretty slick huh?

Looks awesome!

I just installed Cointaker LEDs in mine, and I have been debating whether or not to get the Pin Stadium lights. Pretty tempting seeing your pics.

I’m liking the purple under and back cabinet lighting too!
