I'll join the club! And I'll ask a question to take advantage of the opportunity!
Has anyone ever seen evidence that the tech alerts on TSPP work? I had the left ramp entry gate unplugged for several months, so it wasn't triggered in hundreds of games, but every time I went to the tech alerts, it showed that there were no problems.
If the tech alerts don't see and report this problem, I've got to assume that they don't work at all. Anyone believe otherwise?
ROM version 5.00. More info in this old post: http://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/tech-alerts-not-working-on-tspp
Thanks!
Has anyone done this:
shoot the Itchy and Scratchy hole, wait until the ball shoots out, let it bounce off the left flipper, and goes back in the I&S hole
Mine used to do that bounce trick regularly. The first time I shopped it out I must have changed the angle of the plate the ball kicks into because it no longer does it. Seems like the trick only worked for the first MB though. After that it just would kick back and forth a few times until it missed.
I though it was such a neat trick I emailed KJ to see if he designed it that way. He said he did not, but mentioned that early on the CBG target was supposed to be a kicking target.
Quoted from McCune:I might go pick another HUO TSPP, so I can put it between ACDC & Metallica!
Fixed
Quoted from kwiKimart:Has anyone done this:

I usually let it bounce, I have a less than 10% luck on the bounce back though
Here's another question- when the VUK sends the ball to the upper playfield, on my TSPP sometimes the ball bounces off the post a few inches below the scoop, and then falls back down the scoop hole (and sometimes repeats this several times before successfully making its way to the upper left flipper). Anyone else have this issue, or ideas how to fix it?
I've tried:
a) Lifting the little metal wire back up in front of the scoop that had gotten beaten down to the playfield level over time (which I assume is there to prevent the ball from falling back in the scoop). This worked for a bit to prevent the ball from falling back down the scoop, but it keeps lowering after repeated hits. How high is this metal supposed to stick out, and what keeps it in place?
b) Crafting a sort of cushion for the post to absorb the force and prevent bounce backs. Cushion inevitably ends up falling off after multiple hits.
c) Bending the metal guides on the left side at the top of the upper playfield.
Thanks for any thoughts!

Welcome to my world. I came SUPER close, but a ball 3 drain crushed my dreams.
Just picked one up
Loving it so far!
Quoted from PlatinumPinMike:ab3 , i had this problem with my TSPP too , it was only some alignment needed with the coil and the bracket , never had this problem after that .
I have this issue too, thanks for the tip!
Quoted from Pdxmonkey:How do you get to Springfield mystery spot?
Read the rule sheet by Bowen Kerins, it's great:
http://www.ipdb.org/rulesheets/4674/tspp-rulesheet.txt
A short quote from the rule sheet:
When all ten double scoring modes have been completed (and are not running),
the red lights will pulse instead of being solidly lit. Then, shoot the
Otto shot one more time to start...

you'd better believe it, because the left flipper button and the right
flipper button have switched their abilities. "Everything's all backwards!"

Hit the light Otto target @ the pops
Then hit the Otto shot @ the top of the PF
Do that like 10 times
Backwards flipper Multiball is your reward

Thanks,
I got to mystery spot in an epic game tonight.
Two alien invasions (both failed to lock 5 balls)
Scratchy's revenge
pretezel multiball
two couch multi balls
started secret stash (failed to hit 10)
God damn this is a complex and deep game!

This is when we all look like we've never played pinball before...LOL smacking both flippers at the same time just to stay afloat. Good stuff. It's such a relief when it switches back to normal.

I like switching left and right hands so I cross my chest.
Much easier to control vs double flip IMO.
Kinda hurts after awhile though

I do that too, but I reached AI once.
Quoted from kwiKimart:Is there another TSPP club I don't know about on Pinside?
Count me in! So when are you putting this together?
Has anyone run into an issue where during multiball, if you put two or more balls into Otto real fast, the kickout has trouble kicking the balls out? Anyone run into this problem? what's the fix?

Ive done that too. If im in a serous game Ill switch to that method.
Just curious, are there any other pins that have this feature?
Mike
Well. I will be a member of this club ToMorrOw.
I pick mine up in Orlando and it will be on location by end of day Wednesday in Jacksonville FL.
