Mine sometimes needs a second or third try, but mostly gets it right the first time.
But i would be interested in a solution as well?

First thing to do is actually look at the mech and make sure everything is tight, the coil stop is not broken, and it is properly aligned. Changing out the coil sleeve and cleaning the plunger would be the next thing to do if the above did not help.
It should shoot it up the first time it fires. The only time mine takes two or three times is if I happen to have 2 pinballs in there at the same instant so it has to fire both up to the upper playfield.
The upper right flipper (Moes tavern)has a buzzing sound so I looked it over and I didn’t see a EOS switch, should it have one?

It's there if you wanted to add the optional tournament kit.

Recently I have noticed some "ghosting" on the led arrows on the mode board by the TV in attract mode and play mode. Also, the letters scrolling the TV in attract mode are a just a little bit off, like jagged. I am thinking this may be a rom issue as there have been rare occurrences of strange behavior while playing. Things like the Hurry Up sound not being played, the ball in play ending when a couch lock is made, etc. The rom is 5.0 and was purchased online about 2 years ago. What do you guys think?
Quoted from Damien:I have a Cliffy ramp set ($55) and garage door decal ($12).
Will let it go for $50 USD flat, shipping included anywhere in US or Canada.
Message me directly if interested.[quoted image][quoted image]
Thanks for the inquiries. Items are sold

IMG_5641 (resized).jpgI decided to my my own flipper mod for TSPP. The commercial ones seemed just too expensive.
Mine cost around $25. Comes with a donut on each side.
Let me know if anybody wants me to make extra ones.

Quoted from D-Gottlieb:I agree. Some of those mode are priced out of the ball park.
Probably because people like Ryan are trying to make a living off pinball mods even though they're not really part of the hobby.

Those look great. Any pics installed in game? And any idea how much shipping to US would be?

I will find out on Monday. I think I can mail them as a letter instead of a parcel which would drop the postage considerably. I estimate around between $3.50 and $4.50 worldwide.
Quoted from J_Striker:Anyone interested in a NIB Tilt toppers TSPP topper? $260 total I paid, I would do $225 shipped in the US
Pic?
Its the one tilt toppers has with Bart with the slingshot, I would post a pic of mine but that would involve me opening the box haha

Sounds interesting. How about a picture installed in a game?

Sorry but this is all I can give you at the moment. I just got my playfield back fully restored and coated with ceramic clear.

Thanks. We can wait. Looks like I will prefer the one with pink though.
Welp, after 12 years of ownership I finally reached Super Duper Mega Extreme Wizard.
After completing Alien Invasion and 2 other Couch multiballs, I started Springfield mystery spot then stacked with another Couch, Scratchy's Revenge, and Pretzel Multiballs at the same time, while Secret Stash and Daredevil Mania were running.
Yes, extra balls were turned on. Of course The rest of the setting were factory except a 5 sec ball save. Final score was 411,870,600.

Nice job! If there was a way to set the game for 731 balls, I *MAY* have a chance of seeing it.
Impressive... I've owned it for over a year now and only today broke 100m. Completed alien invasion but still only had the kids lit. I have yet to light marge abd homer
Quoted from Chalkey:Wow nice!! I can't ever imagine getting that far. So many things have to line up!
Yeah, soooo many things went right this game. Plus there's a considerable amount of luck that is needed in addition to game knowledge, practice.
BTW, the bonus on the 'super stacked' ball alone was 32M.
Now comes the hard decision to sell or not. Favourite game of all time.
And almost 24 hours later, after a 10 hours roadtrip to meet with @lmjdad, there he is all set. It’s a beautiful machine, loaded with mods, in awesome condition. It definitely came from a pinball lover who took great care of it. I’m offering myself a day off tomorrow, time to pin !
And a quote from my 5 years old son : Daddy you can sell the Wizard of Oz, I love the Simpsons !
Well I’m not selling my WOZ but I surely love this TSPP too !

Here you go.
Resized_20190525_085241 (resized).jpgQuoted from adol75:So I picked up my game set to 5 balls and I’m used to 3 balls games. BUT I’m starting to like that one in 5 balls, there is so much to do that it’s compelling to get more time to build up.
What is your ball setting on TSPP ? Is it different from your other games ?
Both my WOZ and TSPP started out at 5 until I got the hang of the games, then switched down to 3. 5 balls is just too many (games too long) once you get good IMHO. The other thing you can do (instead of adding balls) is to sprinkle some extra balls in here and there as you progress through the game (set a few awards to extra ball instead of free game, etc)
Really like the flipper topper. Any chance you can make a version that has the same donut pattern entire length of flipper ?
Request for people making mods.
A new mods tavern sign would be great.... maybe make it a flaming mods sign instead ? Or even a nice neon looking moe’s sign.
Bonus points if you make it as a small lcd screen that can show animation
Maybe a lit up sign for kiwk e mart
Sparky. Can you take a video of the monorail at different angles. Super cool mod and I agree that has been begging for something. I was even thinking of a smaller monorail that sits in front of the v rail.

My game is currently wrapped up and stored from taking it to GSPF last weekend, so I can't get video for a while. The monorail also sold out at the show, including the one I had on the game for display, so I'm in the process of making more.

Someone in this thread made a light up Moe's sign. Check the pics gallery.
Are you talking about a small lcd for the Moe's sign, or just in general? You know I sell the TV that plays Itchy and Scratchy video?
Selling my Sparky TSPP TV mod with extra wood cabinet TV. Free shipping and also including the 5.0 audio and video roms. Send me a PM if interested.

One week with TSPP at home, and close to 100 games, thanks to the long weekend.
So far I got 3 alien invasion and 2 Springfield mystery spots, I need to train more on hitting the left ramp, it's my weak spot for now, I keep missing it. Best score is 105 millions, thinking of the best ways to stack modes really adds a lot of strategy and makes the game very compelling. I also like the many ways of getting an extra ball, it adds a lot in building the game. Surprisingly I'm more confident in getting the Super duper wizard mode, although still a long way from it than reaching SOTR on WOZ.
Overall the game plays awesome, I actually find it more forgiving than WOZ, I get less outlanes and most of my ball loss come from a personal mistake instead of some random ball bumps. Since the game doesn't weight 500 pounds it can actually be nudged which also helps a lot !
TSPP is also my first standard body at home, I understand better now why people see wide bodies as being slow, the horizontal dynamic is very different, faster bumps, faster game. I'm sure it's obvious to everyone but it never hit my mind until I got one at home and enough play time to explore it.
And last but not least, my kids and their friends spent their whole sunday playing it, where they never cared much about WOZ, I guess theme does matter and the big Homer head surely helps too.
Anyways, all of that to say, I really love this game, getting one didn't come on my radar until very recently but it also made me realize how hard and unforgiving WOZ can be, which in turn makes me wonder if I should keep it and continue to endure the pain or just admit my own flaws and start building a collection of "easy" pins.
Why is ball save so inconsistent?
I know it may not be a favorite option for you better players, but i'm not that good and probably never will be.
Sometimes it will give me a new ball, sometimes not, I don't see any rhyme or reason to it.
The best I can guess is that if the ball hits a single switch or target, it's over.
The roms are version 4, but I plan on getting a set of v5.
Does it change with v5?
