Looking moes & treehouse ramp. NOS or very good condition without any damages. Let me know if you have something for sale.
Hi.
New owner here. Has anyone recently bought art blades from member sillyoldelf? I think his look the best so I've reached out a couple times to see if he's still producing them but I'm not getting a reply.
Just wondering if anyone's heard that he's not planning on making anymore of these.
Thanks
Did you preorder on his shop page? https://pinside.com/pinball/market/shops/1073-sillyoldelf-mods/01072-the-simpson-pinball-party-cabinet-5x-decals-super-package

I do have his speaker decal available if anyone wanted. That's all I have though
Hi! It’s normal in latest code when I short left ramp from upper right flipper it’s starts cbg hurry up?
Quoted from vbobrusev:Hi! It’s normal in latest code when I short left ramp from upper right flipper it’s starts cbg hurry up?
Cbg hurry up starts by hitting the target in front of him, not the treehouse ramp.

Yes this is why I am asking about it, because on mine game it happens when I hit left ramp also.

That is not by design. The CBG standup target is triggering. It may be very close in adjustment and as the ball passes by it is enough to close it.

I am found reason, one wire was soldered to diod side on one switch, I fixed. Thanks.

Still got it?!
I got mine from Flipper Fidelity but he’s not listing it. Try calling to see, I know he can make them:

Failing garage door issue resolved. See below for info.
Door was only opening a little, not enough for the ball to fit under. Started out intermittent and then eventually could never get open enough.
Tried multiple fixes found here and on Pinside but couldn’t correct it. I chose to replace the plunger, sleeve and coil (with recommended stronger coil than factory original).
Success!
Works perfectly now, every time.
Pretty reasonable expense ($25) to repair a 20 year old mechanism that gets bashed into multiple times every game.
Quick response and shipping of parts from Pinball Life.
Part numbers and USD prices below if you need to do the same repair.

If the garage door didn't have the replacement coil in it check that the couch has its extra bracket. Both the garage and couch locks had service bulletins for replacement parts that solved manufacturing issues. The bracket for the couch lock coil can get bent back if it doesn't have the additional bracket.
Question: For some reason all my settings got reset, which was no big deal as I was able to reset them back to the way they were EXCEPT for one. That's the setting that allows for a timed "ball save" after the initial plunge. Problem is, after going through the menu settings numerous times, I can't seem to locate how to make that particular adjustment. Any thoughts?? Thanks!

Great, thanks. I'll look for that!
Hi Guys, i got asked locally to recreate a Homer in a donut shooter rod and i still have about 4 left of the 10 i made, may be an extra one but i'm still waiting on a few guys to get back to me. Selling these over here for $100 AUD + postage as most pay via direct deposit but for international buyers the easiest/safest way to pay is via paypal so price is an extra $5 to cover sellers fees. Postage to the US is $27 AUD and Europe is generally a little more but i would have to check depending on which country as it usually becomes dearer the further north. PM for any extra details or questions you'd like to ask. Cheers!! REVISED** I only have 1 left of these now. Most likely i will do another lot eventually but i have at least 3 other designs i need to finish off first.

Quoted from dos_reboot:Going on 17 years of owning the same TSPP. Thinking of selling.
Talk me out of it!
I’m probably 4 months too late, but PinSound and Baptiste’s mix. Will breathe new life into your machine.
Hey everyone. Need assistance.
Just turned on my TSPP for the first time in a few months. Started a game, everything was fine. Shot up to the upper playfield and onto the couch lock. Now the lights just flash and the flippers are dead. Rebooted the game, plunge the ball, lights still flash and the flippers are dead. See the attached video
What’s the fix?
I have a Homer don’t shooter in good shape, has a little paint missing in the pink areas that can be easily touched up. $55 shipped within CONTUS

LED OCD is a must on this game. Priority to install if you plan to LED the game.

Finally got my order that I placed in April. Have you checked with Cliff to see what the wait time is now?

Apart from invisiglass, colordmd I was somewhat subtle with my mods,
Only added the Duff beer and duffman, moes tavern light, lampshade, here are a few pics

I'll second that LED OCD is a must if you LED your game.
Besides that, I found that replacing the fluorescent tube with an LED one made a huge improvement. It is mostly because the LED tube only has lights on 1 side, not all the way around. By flipping the tube around so the LEDs shine in towards the boards (not out towards the translite) it 1) illuminates the translite much more evenly and 2) significantly reduces glare on the playfield glass.
I got mine from Marco but they don't seem to list it any more. Found a similar one at Action Pinball. Just a heads up, you need to bypass the fluorescent starter and ballast but instructions for that come with the LED and it's easy to do.
Any idea what may be the issue when the motherboard just clicks and the lights go on and off? I had my games on for most of the afternoon but just remembered after being a way a few hours. Found my machine was clicking and lights blinking so I shut it off. A couple of minutes later I turned it back on and it immediately starts clicking and lights start blinking.

Priorities for mods in order:
1. Art blades
2. Color DMD
3. Decals for the sensors on the PF and the Kwik-E-Mart
4. In Rod We Trust flasher (goes next to cooling towers). This is one of the best bang-for-the-buck mods out there.
5. Duffman or Duff beer can in back right
6. If you get the nuclear rails, you really should powder-coat all the armor. It's just a spectacular ensemble. Yellow or radioactive green are best color options, IMO.
7. Pinsound card mod
I'm assuming your machine already has all LEDs. If not, get Coin Taker non-ghosting set and put that at number 1 above. Also, make sure your machine isn't using AA batteries. Switch out to a lithium battery or better yet, the NVRAM.
Enjoy! Such a great game.
Play the game, if after a few plays you think it needs playfield blocking decorations then buy accordingly.

So CT non ghosting would be close to regular LEDs with LED OCD board?
Quoted from GoldenBear:So CT non ghosting would be close to regular LEDs with LED OCD board?
To the best of my knowledge non ghosting bulbs wouldn't ghost... but they also can't "ramp" up and down in brightness like LED OCD or incandescents. They are still just LEDs that are either on or off with nothing in between. Not the best choice for this pin because it has a tonne of ramping bulb effects with the inserts. The OCD board also doesn't work well with non ghosting bulbs so you can't really add it later if you go the NG route.
Quoted from GoldenBear:So CT non ghosting would be close to regular LEDs with LED OCD board?
Not at all. Simpsons features a lot of fading effects that you lose if you LED it. You need the LED board with regular LEDs (do not buy non ghosting kind if you plan to get the OCD board).
I can tell a Simpsons without the OCD board almost immediately. Huge difference in the visual effect.
I tried to make a video but it doesn’t do the visuals justice.

I had no idea. Sorry about the rec for non ghosting. Both of the TSPPs I owned had the LED conversion done by prior owner. I thought I heard one of them say they used non-ghosting and those looked terrific, IMO.
Thanks for all your input! OCD board, pin2dmd, custom powder coated nuclear armor, the TV, Donut shooter rod, decals for targets and Kwik-e-Mart, Mezel mods aliens, a couple funko pops, and a one of a kind topper that my wife and I are doing (hopefully turns out). Will be lighted and loosely based on the Simpsons Treehouse of Horror.
One thing I’m missing…cliffys. They are awesome protectors, and will cover some of the wear in certain spots, but he’s really far out. Is there an alternative?
Quoted from dnapac:What lockdown bar does Simpsons use?
It's the older type that has a single lever you push to the left to unlock.
Regarding Cliffy's: put in your order with him for a complete TSPP set because he will eventually get around to it. In the meantime, for about $15 get a shooter-lane "pindefender" from Pinhead Mods (gorgar007). He makes them in many colors (usually yellow for Simpsons). Easy to install and I had a great experience with them on three machines. His customer service is excellent.

Or more playfield enhancements, but however you look at it.

Beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder on this game. That said - in my opinion people frequently go too far on it like it’s a dollhouse in need of every bit of furniture ever made.
It’s a great game that I think people spend more time modding than learning the rules (the tutorial is about an hour long).
Play it! Get to Alien Invasion!

Cliffy's are a must, the center ramp protector is the most important as that ramp is impossible to find and will eventually break if you don't have a protector on it...YMMV
