I'm trying to choose between the sillyoldelf and the Pingraffix Side Art blades. ATM I'm having trouble finding the sillyodelf version. Does anyone have any feedback on both and know where to get the sillyoldelf version?

I'm also looking for the right side plastic that is commonly broken as well as the red and yellow Stern coindoor sticker. Thanks for any leads.

Does anybody know who sells the black plastic enclosed nut that holds the mini playfield down?
At the moment I am just using a regular nut.

Those are called nylock nuts or nylon lock nuts. You can find them in most hardware stores.

Doubt they’ll be in our Aussie hardware stores being an imperial sized thread

Anyone try the precision pinball flippers?

I ordered a set of 5 Precision Flippers for my TSPP, going to install soon.

Has anyone else tried them on their TSPP?

The nut that is currently installed is a nylock nut. The factory original is a knob with a brass insert.

I checked RS and couldn’t find anything that had the correct 10-32 thread, everything was metric.

Completely forgot the stock ones are knobs, but knew something looked a bit off.

I ended up buying them for 4 of my pins and love them. Didn’t buy for TSPP because I never play it.

I checked into this some time ago, I was told that the receiver has to be changed also. The tangs on a Simpson lockbar are different because of the offset hole. Recommend you check.

I just replaced my 2003 lockdown bar with the one from pinball life. They say it works on all except the last run:

I bought them for my Godzilla, but the factory ones on my TSPP are far better...gold standard for flippers IMO.

What about the upper play field? Hard to hit the couch. Anyone try replacing those and is it hard to do?

#6924 42 days ago

The upper playfield flippers are necessarily sloppy by design. Not sure how that can be remedied.

I bought them for the upper flippers, I'll post pics and results when I install them!

so, i am in the process of making a trade for a tspp. is there anything specific i should look for before the trade? i have been sent pictures and video of play. we were thinking of meeting half way for the swap or do i just make the drive to try it out because of certain things to look for? thanks for the help!

Biggest (and most expensive) issue is probably check that the ramps aren't cracked. There is the Moe's obvious one, but two hidden ones behind the garage door and behind Comic Book Guy. Make sure the garage door opens/closes easily too.

Check for battery damage on the CPU board - any other mechanical issues are easily resolved with readily available parts. Ramps as tectonyc mentioned are the only make-or-break items that I can think of. You won't be able to see most of the garage ramp without removing the mini PF, which isn't something you can do easily during a walkaround. If you can get a camera pointing into the garage you can see a good portion of the ramp, including the common failure point - the initial edge of the ramp. If that's cracked or has a chunk missing, there is a Cliffy available to create a new edge. I need to order one or roll my own for my TSPP.

Be sure to familiarize yourself with how that looks ahead of time - the garage is a little jump over a gap onto the plastic ramp in question, so there IS a big gap that's supposed to be there. Don't confuse the gap with a broken ramp end.

Thanks guys! He said the boards are clean, he sent pictures. They look pretty good. Here are the photos in case I am missing anything.

If you get the game, get a remote battery holder to get those batteries away from the board.

roger that. also asked about the ramps and he said there is no cracks or damage to any plastics.

NVRAM is plug and play on this game.

This.
5 min job, never deal with batteries again

#6935 27 days ago

Yes, NVRAM rather than remote battery holder. No soldering or desoldering involved, and you'll never need to change batteries again.

Has anyone ever seen any weird playfield defects on a Simpsons Pinball Party? I have a defect on mine but it is 100% not a touchup. Just weird.

Guessing the squiggly black line on Homer that’s not one of his hairs? If so, common defect. If not, post a pic.

#6938 26 days ago

You can see it above the left sling. Its not wear nor a touchup.
