Hey all
I’m looking to get a light up Moe sign for the entrance to the right ramp replacing the standard plastic
Anyone know where to get that one?

I make these....

Very nice, I never saw this. The one I am designing is a completely different route.

I would love to see what you come up with. The one on my current game is very nice and has a single bulb in it that just stays lit all the time.

I used to have a TSPP that had a really cool translucent type of sign that you could change the flashing mode and timing on. I think it was made with some sort of EL paper or something like that. It was really nice. Wish I had kept it. Here is a picture of the one that came in my current TSPP...

indypinhead , do you still make the plastic protectors for TSPP? I'd be interested in grabbing a set if you do.

Is anyone making shooter rods with Bart, Lisa, Marge, or Homer, etc? Not the donut ones. Thanks.

Ive done that too. If im in a serous game Ill switch to that method.
Just curious, are there any other pins that have this feature?
Mike

I know Ghost Busters has a mode with reverse flippers - I have never played that mode, but a buddy who owns the machine has.

Protectors arrived yesterday. I'm still waiting for Cliffys to arrive before tearing too much of the pin apart but I installed the easy lower ones. They were a perfect fit, well machined and the holes were in better locations than the ones in the actual plastics.

Thanks again, it's a great product!

I sold my TSPP but I have a NOS couch ramp with metal flap for sale. It has never been used and is in perfect condition. $80 plus shipping. If anyone is interested let me know. Thanks Mike

Lately, I've been noticing my upper right flipper and the right flipper on the couch seem to be losing power. I've never replaced any coils, etc. and am wondering if others have experienced this and what you did. Thanks.

I think you need to look at the flippers themselves... see if you have a mechanical issue. When were they rebuilt? It is more likely than not it is a mechanical issue than a power/electronics issue.

How would you describe losing power? Is it not snapping back fast enough or is it moving forward and kind of "weighed down"?

When you move the flipper with your hand does it feel differently than when you move one of the properly working ones?

Help please. I'm trouble shooting a display problem. I removed color dmd and I'm switching back to the original. I'm not sure what goes where. Can someone please send a pic showing proper connections. This novice would appreciate it greatly. Thanks in advance.

Here's a picture of the original dmd. I just picked up a TSPP and installed the ColorDMD, it makes a huge difference. Curious as to why you are reverting to the original? Did you have any issues with the color or maybe selling machine without it??

Good score? Have this for a week or two for a friend that didn't have room. Haven't really played it in years, had it for a few months 6 years ago or so.

Pretty good! The game isn’t always forgiving although it can have some insanely long ball times.

#6727 1 year ago

So much activity in this club. It was pretty quiet when I was a member, lol...

Ok...
Just a quick hello,
I will be making more Pin2DMD if there is enough demand.
The list of colorized games (not all games are colorized is here)
https://vpuniverse.com/forums/topic/5391-complete-pin2dmd-colour-file-list-for-virtual-real-pins/

If you game is not on the list, it is most likely not colorized. This means nobody has made colour files for Pin2DMD.

Here are a couple of vids of my own games, I do have other games but I do not keep a lot of DMD games around often

Simpsons:

Indiana Jones:

And I just finished installing one in LW3 but since I am fixing other parts of the game I do not have a video of it yet, but I did test it and the screen works really well. Best part is that some colour files are free.

For pricing contact me by private message as I am not sure whether this is allowed on here.
I have made several dozens of these screens in the last few months, a lot of these go to myself, games I partially restored or to other collectors who have bought off me on here. If you did and you are reading, please say hello!

Anyway, enough infomercial now. Thanks

New to the club and just put up a decent score (I think??). What a fun pin. Much deeper than I thought and the call outs are fantastic!

Joining in the fun here. got the machine a month ago finally after a lot of years no pinball machine (space room in the house etc). Our first was a original DE simpsons and at that time (14 years ago) we had a dream to buy this one. The first one was a really really really routed one so much damage missing parts it took me days to get it in a good working state with no knowledge and some internet help. Still it was a good pin for it price (350 euros at that time) after the kids came we sold it off to make room for them but we finally caved again as one came on the market hier in the netherlands (and they are rare here) it ways not that expensive but not cheap. So nice value for the pin. Needed a good clean and some wax.

The pin seems to be routed but the playfield is really good there is a bit damaged but a protector will fix that. The outside is used and worn at places but for now good enough. It had a pin2dmd already installed (so I don't know how it is normally but that led screen is amazing. ) all led.

Planning on some mods got a few flashers replaced with flaming moe and a rod of power and the lamp next to the couch. Got a very nice set of target stickers from ebay. Expensive but got a kwik e mart sticker and a free el barto sticker to the side of the tv. Quality was good but a real pain to get the backing of the decal oddly enough.

And a still some more ready to install but don't want to add every just yet. Also got moe bar from the playset need to cut it a bit and then do a love machine led upgrade still thinking to do a random ic or just arduino so I can program it a bit as will annoy us if it just random. Plus more flexibility as it want to try to integrate it a bit better (like trigger only on entering the bar. )

Fixed the monorail as it was jumping a lot of times out of the metal rail. And for good measure got flanders to help out there. So for now the pin seems to work just fine some minor issues left like the leds in the backbox. And a pinsound as the buzz is really really annoying. but that is for future me as install mods still cost a lot of time in the end.

congratulations!
I've just had a couple of balls jump out of the wireframe and over the sling. just started happening. The ball isn't dropping thru the rings to the inlane, it just hops out and drains. There is no apparent misalignment that I can see....What's the adjustment you made?

#6732 1 year ago

Just added a few washers (a set i got from the Lidl nothing fancy) to add about 5mm extra height to pole next to itchy and scratchy and 2mm or so on the pole near the flipper. And a bigger screw so you can add the washers.

I took 100 photos during my tear down for my restoration but of course it’s never enough
I’m having trouble with what sits under the captive ball trail both top and under playfield plus my pop bumper seems like it needs something under the plastic as the led is too high
Any tear down photos would help

That definitely helps but I also need what post sits at the back of the skateboard assembly that attaches it to the playfield

#6736 1 year ago

It looks like I cleaned my phone and erased the other pictures I had. I can take some photos of my machine already assembled tomorrow, if that helps.

I don’t think anything goes under the pop bumper plastic. Here’s some more pics. Hopefully they'll help.

Prices for this game are obscene right now. What’s a realistic price for a TSPP with color DMD and some cabinet wear / typical fading?

Also…does anyone make a donut sticker or something to cover the start button fading? Or has anyone re wrapped the cabinet in the alternate design from retro refurbs? I’d love to see pics if so.

I sold mine for 6500 several months ago and a flipper bought it and listed it for 8800. It sold almost immediately. I think the new machines are a better value.

#6740 1 year ago

Ha I feel your pain. I sold my old one with color dmd for $5k just when the pandemic started. There are two here locally that have been listed for months on end at like $7k without a sale. Kinda strange. I’m not sure I agree that the new games are a better value. I honestly think that TSPP and LOTR are the best games Stern will ever make

In 2015 I bought one for 3500. Sold it in 2019 for 3500 with tons of mods.

Recently bought one for 9k. Super nice. I may have bought at the top of the market but I’ve still thrown 800 into it in mods. We love playing it at home. Wife’s only complaint is that my ball times are really long. It is a timeless family game with something for everyone!
