Mirror blades are a one person job. Just installed a set in Frankenstein the other day and my wife thought I needed her help. With installing blade artwork, yes, but mirror blades? No.
1. Use three tension clamps to hold the mirror blade in place once it's lined up.
2. Use a screwdriver for the 3 self tapping screws.
3. Remove clamps.
3. Repeat on the other side.
I read your entire post and felt I should clarify to new pin owners just how easy mirror blades are to install.
