Was originally having a reset issue. Low 5v problem. Fixed that but found that the CN2 connector on the sound board was falling apart. Replaced both the pins and end with molex but now when I connect the cable there is a loud buzzing sound.
Don't know if this is relevant but prior to making the connection I started the game and the display read "Simpsons....". I turned off the game and connected CN2 (should have checked the pins/voltage prior to connecting- stupid). Turned on and got the buzz. Turned it off & disconnected. Turned it back on and now the display doesn't show anything. All the wiring appears to be correct. Tested CN2 pins and this is what I've got. #1 Should be +5 reads +6 volts, #2- 0 ground is good, #3- Should be -12 but it's reading like 147 but negative voltage is confusing me with the meter, #6 should be +12 but reads +5 volts. Pulled the board and checked my soldering and it looks good.
Any and all help is appreciated.
