I used a T8 2 foot 9W 144-LED 6000k replacement tube I bought on ebay in my TSPP. Installed it facing the back of the box and its just what I wanted. Couple of giudes with pictures online if you look, but just unhook the starter and remove the ballast in the upper corner of the backbox from its chain. Pretty easy.

Not sure if it's going to tell you much without a before pic, pictures don't convey this stuff that well usually. But I did flip it on when I was home for lunch and took a few pics for you. I can take some of the inside when I get home later if that's what you want. Just a tube like the florescent, with a ridged solid back so it's ~180* directional I guess. I assume its how all LED tube replacements are.

I've got mine facing the back, would be much brighter if it were faced forward.

its yellow, needs to be a little darker yellow though it is a bit too white I just haven't changed it. I put a colordmd in it last week.
