Hi Sorry I've been too busy lately to thoroughly research this problem from other threads - referencing existing links would be just fine too as an answer.

My Simpsons Pinball Party just started DMD problems - the display will freeze on an image while the gameplay and sounds continue on just fine. After restarting would work fine for several games and then the problem shows up again. Yesterday the entire display went blank (while game and sounds continued uninterrupted). Thanks in advance for your help or suggestions on where/what to start troubleshooting!

EDIT: oh yeah it's a 2004 HUO I'm the second owner the other guy didn't even know you could take the glass off

Soooooooo - I thought the ribbon connections fixed everything. The game was playing well - until tonight. During gameplay the display actually showed the boot up screen with the game rom version #. It went back to displaying the proper events that were happening & then went totally blank. No loose connections on any wiring. Gameplay continuing like normal I could hear all the right things happening and even got the enter initials screen (by sound). Not even sure where to start - any suggestions are greatly appreciated. I have limited troubleshooting time so any links to existing threads on this issue is welcome as well.

and then it boots up fine today - could it be a temperature problem somewhere?

I don't have any other sterns to swap with - would DMD from Johnny Mnemonic be swappable?

OK I have a Tron DMD available - anyone know if it's compatible?
