Your trough boards are likely going bad. You can try to reseat them to see if that helps, but you may need to replace them. Often problems are intermittent, but these are known to fail.

I’m 99% sure the boards are your problem. I’ve had many fail on me. Like I said it’s intermittent so they may test fine when you trigger them in test mode, but in game play when there’s vibration they can be flaky. I’ve never been successful reflowing solder to them. I suppose if you could get the opto receiver and transmitter you could replace just those parts, but the new set is cheap.
