All of a sudden my CBG standup stopped working when playing but works fine in test mode. I thought maybe something else on the same row or column but everything else also seems to work fine also. I'm scratching my head a little here, any ideas?

How are you testing it in switch test mode? If you are taking your finger and pushing the switch in, it has a nice long time to activate. Could be a ball flying at a decent clip isn't activating it even if your finger is.
I would take a business card, put it between the contacts of the switch, hold the switch closed, and then pull the business card out 2 or 3 times.
Sounds like a dirty switch.
I'm testing with my finger in test mode and in game ( glass off ) so tapping it the same in both cases. It registers every tap in test, but does nothing in game. Really confused.
Clean it. Takes 30 seconds, it's the very first thing I would try.

This was making no sense to me at all, the switch is obviously working and it's position being seen as it worked perfectly in test so I just reset the machine to factory and now it's working again....go figure. I did change the CPU and display roms from v4 to v5 yesterday but had played a few games with no problems since then. I guess I'll have to see if it happens again, although I don't know what a permanent fix might be, maybe the roms I fitted aren't quite right?
Thanks for the help.
I saw this at lunch time and didn't have time to post. A similar thing happened on my TSPP. My CBG target would test fine in tests, but during play it would register as the monorail switch, and the monorail would start hurry-ups! Factory reset fixed it and it hasn't returned. You're probably good to go.

Thanks Dewey, sounds like the simpsons software still has some unresolved bugs in it then.
