Some people have had a Pi run the P-Roc, but I think most people run it off a laptop for ease when programing and debugging. Get the code working the way you want, then worry about embedding and booting up later (especially if you aren't familiar with Linux and have limited programing experience). It also depends on how much you want the Pi to do. If it needs to control a LCD too, it might be a struggle to optimize the code for the limited Pi performance.
