In my youth I constantly drew in notebooks. I was certain I would be an artist. And then I got married and raised three kids. I got into the working world and fully became an art fan. Not an artist myself it seems, just wanted to be. Or was I?

Anyways I am trying to get my pen on the paper again.

    (Let’s see what I got.)

A stroke and three brain surgeries has made me desire to create again.

I wanted to post this- to motivate myself. Now I must create!

I’m going to try to make a homage kind of thing to my favorite artist rip and my favorite place.

Richard Corben and knotts berry farm.

    It’s going to be called
    “Bat out of knotts berry”.

    I will post it.

    These are my inspirations.

    To be continued…

    Quoted from EchoVictor:

Knott's is a fantastic place. Given your title, may I humbly suggest having a look at Xcelerator? It's one of my favorite roller coasters in the world. It launches from 0-80mph in 2.3 sec, and rocks a great So-Cal speed shop / '57 Chevy vibe to the station and trains.

    Good luck on your creation!

Before my stroke and three brain surgeries, my go to was excelerator then supreme scream rinse and repeat.

Now I literally sit in the bbq between the two and listen to the screams!

I grew up in metro Detroit so cedar pointe was an annual trip for more than 20 years 1977 to 1990.

Knotts is such great nostalgia for me.

    I agree on the excelerator.

I would point you at a good Corben art book if there was a definitive one. It’s not out there yet…

This was One of my favorites as a kid from the warren days.
I have realized one of my favorite living artists is Errol Otis. Now that Corben has passed on.

Going to try to summon some Virgil finlay in my art too.
