Sure seems like a new arrest. This one is in Iowa. "the 100 block of East Avenue in Nevada, Iowa" -- and mentions the original Child Porn charge.

The article clearly says he is accused of abusing a family member that was a minor. That is different from the original child porn charges.

Every accused person is innocent until proven guilty. Doesn't matter if it's a traffic ticket or serial murder.

If guilty. Without the means to defend himself he'll be forced into a plea deal and there will never be a trial, testimony, or evidence presented in court.

These things always happen to innocent people.

It's a bit of a tricky read. It appears he was CURRENTLY living in Nevada, Iowa. These charges stem from 1993-2000, which occurred in Boilingbrook, IL (outside of Chicago).

Regardless, it's sick. And sad.

I'm all for innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, that is the only way society in general can pass judgement on us all fairly. My opinion on the situation is my own and this guy is not innocent. He has clearly been doing some evil shit. I would never go near anything to do with him.

In the US, there is a difference between "innocent until proven guilty" and thinking someone did not do the crime. One is a legal standpoint to give a person the chance to provide a defense within the laws, the other is an opinion based on what evidence there is at the time someone is charged. In this case I am sure a very high percentage of people reading the charges are going to "think" he is guilty, and the odds are probably high that he is guilty based on similar cases and charges filed against other suspects.

Not tricky at all. Living in Iowa, arrested for crimes committed when in Illinois. I just pointed out the Iowa bit because it was one of the more obvious details that separated it from the original arrest.

I would be careful about flat out saying he is guilty until he is found guilty by the courts because that is where defamation suits against you could happen if he is not found guilty (as highly unlikely as that may be).

Oh please, talk about your apples and oranges. In those cases did a close family friend come out after years of suffering and say a man abused them from aged 13-20. This is not a case of racism or hysteria.

Man this makes me so sad. Of course most people who do this kind of stuff were also abused earlier in life.

It's very possible the first arrest and subsequent search led to this arrest. I wonder if some of the original images they found had something to do with this revelation.

#metoo made this possible. Women who have held the bile down for years finally feel brave enough to come forward. I have a very close friend who was abused by her uncle when she was little, his time is coming. I hope this is the last generation of women and girls who suffer this way.

After reading about the first arrest, I wondered if I could ever look at CFTBL or GB without the following image popping into my mind:

A guy is working at his desk late into the night. It's quiet in the office, since most of the other staff have gone home. His vision is starting to blur just a bit from staring into his computer screen for hours upon hours. He pushes back from his desk, removes his glasses and rubs his eyes. He takes a few seconds to clear his mind and take a quick mental break. He leans back in his chair, looks up at the ceiling and thinks about the secret that makes him happy...

He then smiles to himself and gets back to work.

Sadly, that image has occurred to me every time I've seen one of his games for the last several months. I can't imagine it will stop now.

I was wondering what was up with him since the first arrest, and just felt it was odd things fell kind of silent on it. I'd google it here and there to see if anything updated. The entire situation is beyond evil, despicable and disgusting.

This is just my personal feelings, and I felt like this since day one of the news about the raid in Illinois, but any game that he designed is dead to me, and there were some dream pins for me (i.e. Spirit). Doesn't have to be that way for anyone else, but I can't have fun knowing the brains behind the game is someone like this.

And you know what, I don't even want to say that sucks, because you know what sucks, the potential embarrassment, shame and mental abuse those kids may face for the rest of their lives due to his predatory ways.
