It depends on a lot of things, some of which are discussed here. When I was younger, I thought nothing of moving pins with a cheap hand cart, but as I got older I ended up getting a powered stair climber, like an escalera. I also have a landing and a lot of turns. It's a pain. If you have the help, and you are strong and feel confident enough, make sure you have lots of room, like removing all the hand rails going down, so it gives you some room to make mistakes. Strap the pin down. Take it slow and think about each step and what you are doing. For a normal pin, it is easier. Machines like JJP or Twilight zone, you want strong help.
Even with my powered stair climber, at my age (I'm 61), I wasn't excited about moving a wide body JJP pin that was very heavy. I took the head off, to lighten the weight, and then used the stair climber, by myself. If I had help, I would have probably left the backbox on.
Know your limitations and act accordingly. Always act on the safe side, and have fun.
