Don't know if one of these existed in the past or not, but thought it would be interesting to see how many are really out there ( at least on Pinside). Latest post from an Op that just acquired one had me curious. 400 made, period. quite a few went through the parks, and it's been 7 years, so attrition has to have taken its toll, as well.
I'm curious how many people actually HAVE, or can identify one with the # ( not "heard about 10 for sale somewhere"). Post your # on one of the timeless Stern Classics. Figured it would also be fun to see how many times one might have changed hands ( I bought mine HUO, so at least one previous owner).

Mine is #212......let the #'s and stories roll......

Yours truly, old guys.

And sadly, I would have had to go for a #59

Bump, as most the other threads are a bit boring at the moment.....no other #'s and stories?

#30 7 years ago

Ahh...some good stuff to read and see on Pinside. Thanks guys....I might try to not be so lazy and compile a list if enough post. How many do you suppose actually still live out of the 400? half at best?

Bump....looks like about 20 posted #'s......seems appropriate, as other titles surfacing to revisit our beloved gridland!!!

More owners and #'s please!!!

#35 6 years ago
Quoted from Oneangrymo:

I just sold my #50 nib

Hmmm....fellow pinsider? We must find these LE's that still exist!!!....

Hope the deal worked well for you ( but sorry for your loss)

Quoted from jkleinnd:

#264, I just bought this HUO in March, 2017. I'm the 2nd owner. Only thing I've got to figure out is how to get original soundtrack back on there as the previous owner didn't like the rotating disk music, and has some modified music patch downloaded on there.

Congrats!!! This I have the original on an MP3 somewhere....I shall dig over the weekend....pm me w your email, and I'll send you what I have ( if you'd like).....

I just love this thread for some reason.....a nice " reset" from the drama on here sometimes.....great game, code done, built well, true LE.....pinball lives!!!

#40 6 years ago
Quoted from mrbillishere:

Short of some horrific shipping snafu that we hear about once in a while taking one out of commission, I would imagine that just about every LE made is still secure in the hands of collectors like us.
I got #216 NIB courtesy of Trent and also have him to thank for an almost immediate playfield swap out due to a screw pop that I found in front of the drop targets. Stern arranged for Gavin to come out and do the switch out within weeks of Trent reporting the issue to them.
One of these rainy days I am going to swap in a Kruzman clearcoated playfield that I own, because, fast.

Sweet!!....I heard Disney actually had some of these in the parks at one point (?), and there were questions of how many were actually left. Maybe just a rumor, but supposedly less than 1/2 ( in Flanks thread somewhere)....

Fun to hear stories about these ( super jealous of your Kruzman, btw...but I'd be too lazy to swap it out, potentially....

Quoted from J85M:

mk6pin have you considered making the first post in this thread abit like the BM66 Gadget & Episode thread? would be cool to see a list of the LE numbers and which are pinsiders have them.

Good advice!!! I think I'll clean up initial post, and add an ongoing list that I can update time to time. It's very interesting to me to see how some of these great machines " travel through time" ( i.e., I'd do a BIBLE one too, but don't own one)...man, I hope I posted in the BM66 gadget thread....I've forgotten to look over there lately....

#46 6 years ago
Quoted from spazzman90:

I was in Disneyworld back then. I saw new Tron Pros everywhere but didn't see a single LE.

Great update...thanks!!!...does anyone know how many of the 400 were allocated for overseas ( if they did that)? Would really be fun to get info like that!!!

Quoted from J85M:

timebandit looks like you have been a naughty boy 10 years didn't even last 10 months shame on you

He does have a heavily modded pro, but not sure if that gives him a pass.....Labnip will have to weigh in on this controversial topic...

I do have a cleared LE playfield that I'm thinking very seriously of putting in. Should I do that? I really think I should.

I think as long as you release your IM fiber ramp lightkit soon, I'm in 100% agreement...

#58 6 years ago
Quoted from J85M:

You still planning to edit your first post MK and make a comprehensive list a little like the BM66 Gadget/Episode thread?
#50 here
