If stern does tron and LOTR VE, then I'm gonna need a bigger place.

My next pin, will probably be Wolverine LE.

If they do a Star Wars original trilogy....I'm really really gonna need a bigger place.

#48 9 years ago

Why are so many people against a Tron VE?

I'd rather buy a NIB Tron VE for $5,400 (with free shipping) instead of $5,400 for a used Tron.

This is a no brainer.

#50 9 years ago
Quoted from Goronic:

Everyone knows that if Stern makes a TRON VE or Premium I would instantly buy. If they don't - no biggie.

Same attitude here.

If I don't own a Tron, oh well. If owning a Tron is the end all, that I have a pretty pathetic life.

I have 3 machines that I love, with room for 1 more.

Quoted from JoeJet:

Is that why you decided against my $5400 like new Tron with $900 in mods after trolling my FS thread and privately praising my game and trying to get me down in price?
My FS thread:

Your PMs to me:

Game sold for full asking.
You lose.

1troll.jpg 12 KB

2troll.jpg 31 KB

3.5 hour drive there, then 3.5 hour drive back.

For the right price, I'll buy the game.

You weren't at the right price. I PMed you seeing if I can get you down to the right price.

If you had a beat up game, I would've even waste my time…hence, me giving you a compliment for keeping it in great condition.

Give me one good reason why I, or anyone else, wouldn't try to negotiate the price down. Last time I checked, no price is set in stone.

BTW, aren't PRIVATE messages suppose to remain PRIVATE????

#71 9 years ago
Quoted from Rarehero:

The right price was his asking price, cuz it sold.

The right price for him and that buyer.

Wasn't my right price.

#73 9 years ago
Quoted from Astropin:

Sure....but no reason to drag PM's into it.....that was over the line IMHO.

I agree 100%

Private is private.

#87 9 years ago
Quoted from thunderking50:

The more you wait to buy one the more higher the price
Will be... There will never be a Tron ve

Do you have proof that the price will go only go up?

#90 9 years ago
Quoted from creyes82:

Let us see this fancy pants chart from bostonpinball.biz.... blue = price orange = supply.

Screen Shot 2014-10-29 at 5.10.4... 60 KB

How many games are for sale?

That chart could easily be signaling the top of the market.

Without all the necessary information, that chart is just noise.

#94 9 years ago
Quoted from o-din:

Exactly. The only info we have now is there are Tron Pros and LEs and they are no longer being made.
Are you a gambling man?

Only football pools.

If the pin shoots up in value and I didn't buy it prior, oh well. It isn't the end of the world.

There are dozens of great pinball machines. There are new ones always being developed as well.

#95 9 years ago
Quoted from thunderking50:

Trekkie ,Want a great fuk'n game pay the price
You want to be Trekkie El cheapo go buy some
mustang or Star Trek and pay less but get less !!!

I already own a machine considered by many to be one of the best ever.

BTW, if it were a Camaro machine, I would've bought it. Being that I own a Camaro, the machine would've went well with it.

We need to send spies when Stern does their move.

Maybe we'll see some writing on boxes giving away their plans.

Remember, when Walt was looking at Florida property, he wouldn't exit the plane. I can't see Stern being that secretive.

#107 9 years ago

The only problem with a retro Tron is the sound. The sound on tron pinball is amazing.

Quoted from JoeJet:

Negotiation involves making an offer. Its another thing completely to take a shit all over these boards about a VE that doesnt exist with hundreds of posts while privately trying to pry the game of your choice off of a seller.
When you came in my FS thread to post VE speculation you in effect were standing in front of my fruit stand telling customers that the fruit is overpriced and a fruit stand across the street is opening up with better fruit at a better price. Then you offer to buy my fruit if i cut my price while no one is around.
Choke on it buddy.
I gave fair warning in post #40 in this thread what was coming and you still keep up the tolling. For some kind of market genius or whatever the heck you claim to be you really must be hard up for cash.

For the right price, I'll buy a Tron. Heck, for the right price, I'll buy anything. If you haven't noticed, I'm not the only one saying they think a Tron VE is on its way.

At no point, did I ever badmouth your machine. I even complimented how beautiful it looked.

In your thread, a poster made a comment that the prices for Trons have dropped. Look at the positing history for Tron sales, they have. I only pointed out the obvious, as countless others have, that the VE threat has something to do with the drop in Tron prices. This isn't something that is complicated, it is basic economic theory. Expectation of more supply = lower prices. At no point did I ever say your machine was overpriced. Please stop making up and spreading lies.

If you have a problem with economics, take it up with economics and leave me out of it.

Quoted from labnip:

I'm more into Quorranomics

tron-quorra-nomics-1.jpg 25 KB

If they made Tron 3, where Quorra just stands there on screen, I'd pay $11 to see that.

#140 9 years ago
Quoted from thunderking50:

That is what I keep telling Trekkie but he does
Not want to understand and keep posting VE
Crap all over Pinside....oh we'll

Where have I said the Stern will run Tron LE - VE?

I would really love to see that post.

#144 9 years ago
Quoted from Concretehardt:

Trekkie is trying to scare someone into selling him their Tron on the cheap with his VE and pricing "trend" threads... Pretty lame tactic dude!

Where have I said the Stern will run a Tron LE-VE?

That's what I just got accused of...(I didn't start that thread either...even in that thread, I said the LE will never be run again).

Kind of ironic that I didn't even start this topic, and I'm getting blasted for it.

For the umpteenth time, if the right Tron comes along at the right price, I'll buy it. Otherwise, I'll just sit on the sidelines and hope there is a VE.

If I never own a Tron, oh well. If my happiness is based on owning a Tron, then I have one pathetic life.

I have 3 machines that I love, with room for one more. If Stern were to do a Star Wars original trilogy, then that will be the 4th machine. Wolverine LE could always fit that spot, distributors still have plenty left in inventory. A LOTR VE could fill that spot (if they do one). A Tron VE could fill that spot (if they do one). The future Star Wars pin could fill that spot (depending if I like 7-9). Heck, if Stern did a lion Voltron, that could fill that spot.

Many users here, have voiced their intentions of getting a Tron VE if one were to be released. I'm not the only one.

Quoted from Concretehardt:

TRON LE is Tron Premium... Haven't you figured that out yet?

I think it's obvious, is that I was pointing out Stern could do a premium. Metallica and AC/DC have 2 premiums. Look at what Stern recently did with AC/DC pro bell. They changed it up. Look at Star Trek pro, that now has a "kick back". Remember, Stern advertised that if you wanted those features, that you needed to either buy a premium or LE.

I notice you didn't pick out my posts where I speculated that the Tron VE (if made) we will see, will be below the LE but above the pro (i.e. - come installed with lighted ramps). Sort of like the IMVE is a step above the original Iron Man.

If Stern is sitting on (all speculation) a bunch of Tron pro playfields, they could never duplicate the VE. But with the pro play field, they can easily make an in-between game.

Quoted from Deez:

I hope someone from Stern is reading this thread and can see the passion for the release of the Tron VE. There seems to be a ton of interest contrary to what the Tron pinvestors are trying to say.

I wrote Gary a letter asking for LOTR VE & Tron VE.

Hopefully it helps.

#262 9 years ago

I still can't figure out why people are against the idea of a Tron VE.

#265 9 years ago
Quoted from o-din:

Some people would rather see a little more time and effort invested in something new. Every dollar that a remake or VE takes is one less dollar spent on pinball moving forward. Shit! I'm starting to sound like teekee.

I think here's the question to ask: did Iron Man VE have any affect on the product release cycle?

I don't know if it did or didn't, but the one thing I do know, is that our selection of new pins has never been better.

#277 9 years ago
Quoted from Rarehero:

No one is against the idea of it. We're against the rampant speculation that's practically turned into a religion. It's extremely unlikely Tron VE will happen. Even John Borg said its not happening. So - if you want a Tron to play, stop whining about it and "praying" for a VE ...just go buy a Tron. They're out there and they exist.

Borg said no VE of the LE.

That's a lot different than no VE's at all.

A Tron LE just sold for $9,500...Tron VE (not LE) is on the way.

-1
#351 9 years ago
Quoted from RobT:

So a TRON LE sells for *less* than what they've sold for previously and that's evidence that Stern is going to release a Vault Edition?!

$9,500 for a Tron LE shows demand for Tron.

Quoted from Astropin:

Sure but even 5k would be a $1200 savings from what you linked to! That's nearly 25% and a lot of "mod" money.

Don't forget, the VE will be 100% LED.
