Quoted from JoeJet:Is that why you decided against my $5400 like new Tron with $900 in mods after trolling my FS thread and privately praising my game and trying to get me down in price?
My FS thread:Your PMs to me:
Game sold for full asking.
You lose.1troll.jpg 12 KB
2troll.jpg 31 KB
Trekkie was just owned!
Quoted from Rarehero:The right price was his asking price, cuz it sold.
Pretty good evidence right there!
Quoted from Pimp77:Not only that...but most of the posters in here seem to own a TRON LE or Tron pro already. Why are you interested in the VE???
Are you seriously pulling out the "if you wont own it why do you care" argument?
Quoted from Rarehero:Oh, Pinside armchair businessmen. "Easy money" isn't always as easy as you think.
Things are not nearly as obvious as so many Pinsiders believe them to be.
Quoted from Pimp77:Yes. It's pinball, not an investment.
I must have missed the posts by those who said it was.
Quoted from labnip:with all the people that vote for LOTR as best pin here, you'd think LOTR VE would be the way to go.
honestly, tron doesn't win the best pin votes on Pinside, repeatedly.
so, the volume just doesn't seem to be there for more tron. i think it's just a loud few.
stern can't make much on just a few people. the volume is around LOTR and others.
https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/lotr-vs-tron/page/2
But you are leaving the supply part out.
Even if LOTR is the best pin ever made, if there were 2 million of them already out there then Tron might make a hell of a lot more sense.
Quoted from labnip:doesn't LOTR sell at high prices?
(i dunno, haven't owned it)
Mid to high $4k range. Some have fetched more.
Even at $5k, that's not a price that begs for a VE edition. But I wouldn't mind one!
Quoted from Trekkie1978:I still can't figure out why people are against the idea of a Tron VE.
Yes you can.
Quoted from underlord:As a matter of fact, Gary is getting extremely, and I quote, 'annoyed at Pinside relentlessness on this title.'
Guess that settles it then. Tron VE is coming for sure!
Quoted from Trekkie1978:A TRON LE just sold for $9,500...Tron VE (not LE) is on the way.
So a Tron LE sells for *less* than what they've sold for previously and that's evidence that Stern is going to release a Vault Edition?!
Quoted from o-din:It sure sold in less time than they have before.
Indeed. Someone got a sweet pin at a good price!
Quoted from Trekkie1978:$9,500 for a TRON LE shows demand for Tron.
It shows demand for a Tron LE. That demand has been there for years, and like I said, that price is less than what they've sold for in the past, so I'm still not sure how you come to the conclusion that this means that a Vault Edition is coming.
Quoted from Pimp77:Quit trolling the Tron VE threads and get a life...
Since Tron VE doesn't even exist, whose the one that needs to get a life?
