if anyone needs it, i can make it rain
Quoted from Trekkie1978:
For the right price, I'll buy a Tron. Heck, for the right price, I'll buy anything. If you haven't noticed, I'm not the only one saying they think a Tron VE is on its way.
At no point, did I ever badmouth your machine. I even complimented how beautiful it looked.
In your thread, a poster made a comment that the prices for Trons have dropped. Look at the positing history for Tron sales, they have. I only pointed out the obvious, as countless others have, that the VE threat has something to do with the drop in Tron prices. This isn't something that is complicated, it is basic economic theory. Expectation of more supply = lower prices. At no point did I ever say your machine was overpriced. Please stop making up and spreading lies.
If you have a problem with economics, take it up with economics and leave me out of it.
I'm more into Quorranomics
who is this fletcherOH douche that shows up randomly during the year?
anyone know this dork? looks like zero (0) posts ever, but only logs in to do thumbs-down.
real valuable contributing community member (aka: fake account douche).
maybe a Mod could do an IP check for us and get rid of this duplicate account that only adds negativity to the Pinside Community.
with all the people that vote for LOTR as best pin here, you'd think LOTR VE would be the way to go.
honestly, tron doesn't win the best pin votes on Pinside, repeatedly.
so, the volume just doesn't seem to be there for more tron. i think it's just a loud few.
stern can't make much on just a few people. the volume is around LOTR and others.
Quoted from RTR:
The way that was worded seems to bolster the case for or possibility of a Tron VE.
You would have to be nuts to think another run isn't possible at some point in the future. Whether it's next year or 5 years from now is another matter.
But it is definitely on that very short list of possible VEs.
yeah... if that thing is real... who knows what it means
Quoted from Hobbypinball:
Stern will do anything that makes a profit. Not slamming them for that - thats why they survived when others did not. So all people need to do is figure out the cost of re-tooling the assembly line for Tron VE against the cost and number of units they'd need to sell to make a profit. Would it be more profitable to dedicate that assembly line to a limited run or to a new pin.
my opinion - they'll do it if they can fit a limited run in between runs of other new games. Don't know how likely that is if they're assembling other games on top of their own though.
they're afraid of competing with the Tron Prequel pin.
Quoted from Concretehardt:
Life is just too F#cking short to be curled up in the fetal position crying for a VE edition!
Look in the mirror and ask yourself, do I want to be the guy 20 years from now who has to tell my grandchildren that I could of had a Tron pinball machine but decided to wait for a VE? Don't be that guy.. Those are not the kind regrets you want to have! Take it from me I sold Tron once

...PLAYING THE DAMN GAME! THESE ARE USELESS WOODEN TOYS PEOPLE! DON'T OVER THINK IT!
And I guess to follow suit with all the previous posts we're supposed to post something about caring?

I don't know how to forum. Am I doing it right?
"The Care" is strong with this one
i hear the VE's no longer come with coin mechs.
that looses about 75% of the potential buying market (so about 4 dudes) right there.
so... what's the point
Quoted from Whysnow:
Ones that sell on the secondary market for well over what they could sell a VE for, have high demand, and low supply; combined with low BOM, easy to remake, and a realistically good sales projection.
Stock TronVE does NOT fit the bill.
dude... you're wayyyy off topic
