A tron VE clickbait thread?!

That time of the month already?

Wish I was closer and better be immaculate with 600 plays.

Quoted from treborlicec:

Tron Vault would not command premium money. It is a very simple BOM .

Please tell us what the BOM is for Tron and compare it to the BOM on other makes and models.

Thanks!

Quoted from TheLaw:

Can we get a coil count here please?

Has there ever been a Tron VE thread where someone tells us how low the BOM of Tron is but can't actually cite even a ballpark on what it is or how much cheaper it is than any other game?

What is it about Tron that gives people BOM fever?

Quoted from YZRider926:

$3763.27.
I came to that conclusion by trying to remember exactly what a Tron looks like from memory, I saw one in person once years ago, and by typing a random value.

I thought Tron had like 50 bucks worth of plastic and metal in it, another few hundred bucks for boards and the cabinet.

Come on Stern...it's a No-Brainer!!!

Quoted from plowpusher:

Thats good to know as my distro told me this so hope the vault happens for you guys wanting a new tron you will enjoy it

“Distros” want you buying games they have in stock, not waiting around for some
Valut edition that may never come.

Yeah I wasn't aware ride = upcoming movie.

But that's cool cause I've been praying for a Toad's Wild Ride flick.

Quoted from treborlicec:

Why would anyone expect a Tron Pro VE to be more than Pro pricing?

Because people WANT it so bad. Why would they go through all the trouble to bring it back at $5500 when they could sell a ton closer to $7,000?

Not sure if everybody has figured this out yet but Stern is in this pinball racket to make some money, not win friends.

Besides, every Tron pro on earth is covered with mods and alligator clips, just makes more sense for Stern to be the ones making money off this, not the mod guys and alligator clips wholesalers.

Quoted from pcprogrammer:

If it gets remade with an LCD and new artwork and playfield upgrades then to me it wouldn't be a Vault. They could just call it "Tron 82" or something else. Like they did with Batman 66. Is Batman 66 considered a Vault?

No, as those games are incredibly different.

If they did a vault they would most certainly build a premium with all the same shit as the LE has.

They might ONLY do a premium like they did with spider man. Why leave money on the table and cannibalize other Pro sales? Nobody seems to want a pro of this title anyway.

Quoted from Rarehero:

Custom dots (in color) look classy & retro. They fit pinball. Almost every LCD game so far looks like a poorly dated 90’s PC CD-ROM. Which retro game aesthetics are more appreciated today? NES/SNES/Genesis, or Phillips CD-I?

Man aren’t you a little hung up on this?

People aren’t expecting Pixar quality animations on their pinball machines. Everything I’ve seen looks fine to me.
